College and Pubic Hair

My DSister (16) has just started a beauty therapy course in college.

Yesterday she was told by a tutor that everyone is to grow their pubic hair (vagina) so they can practice waxing on each other and develop and understanding of how clients feel.

My DS and most of the other girls are horrified by this and don't want to do it. AIBU to be horrified at this demand? Surely the college can't enforce this on the girls?!

It's common practice, how else are they meant to learn? They'll have to grow their leg hair and armpits too. It's only a week or 2's worth of growth, worth it for a free wax haha

Exactly why are they horrified, FoxTrot? By having to grow the hair, or by having to have a colleague practice ripping it out?

I can't wait for the next instalment. 'After the waxing their tutor told them they should take the rest of the wax and rub it over one another's breasts to practise removing microscopic nipple hair. Is this normal?!'

OP honestly, just on the off-chance that you are being serious - of course it's unenforceable - for obvious reasons.

Does a surgeon have to have a kidney transplant so they can "develop an understanding" of how their patients feel? C'mon now.

My son is a trainee dentist and his class has been told to eat loads of haribo so they can practice fillings.

Tbf, if you booked for a wax they won't take you out for dinner first 🙄 it's only a bikini wax, they wear pants for goodness sake.
