What am I missing ?? Never felt the need for one but best friend says I don't know what I'm missing ? Am I weird for never having a vibrator ??

If you've found this page in search of vibrators that have been tried and tested by fellow Mumsnet users, you might find our guide to the best vibrators useful. Hope this helps! MNHQ 💐

YANBU, but they are fun! 😂

AfunaMbatata · 15/08/2017 20:36

Meh, they ain't all that IMO.

PollyFlint · 15/08/2017 20:37

I don't think that's weird. They're not compulsory. I'm sure plenty of women don't feel the need for one. Everyone's got their own preferences and everyone gets their rocks off in whatever way works best for them!

MaisyPops · 15/08/2017 20:37

Not weird as such. It's up to you what floats your boat.

Personally I like them. They can be used alone or with a partner. Now I've got some I wouldn't want to go back to not having them.

newtlover · 15/08/2017 20:37

well if you are so am I
seems a bit, well, mechanical....I'm all about the fleshy and organic, me

Whisky2014 · 15/08/2017 20:38

I got one when I was 15. I'm 30 now and still use the same one :D

Cagliostro · 15/08/2017 20:39

C'mon, give it a go, you might like it!

gamerchick · 15/08/2017 20:39

They can be a lot of fun, especially if you just want to knock one out quickly.

You don't have to have one though if you don't want, it's not the law Grin

Happydoingitjusttheonce · 15/08/2017 20:40

Tried one but they are superfluous. All you need solo is an imagination and your fingers. Bit nothing beats the real thing and a set of lips

Crispsheets · 15/08/2017 20:41

It's what you feel comfortable with. I have 4 Wink
Love honey do a good selection and ate very discreet. They have moved on from.the rigid plastic ones of the eighties. And not just for solo use

44PumpLane · 15/08/2017 20:41

Assuming you can orgasm without one then YANBU to have never had one.

If you've never had an orgasm or really struggle to have them then have a bash as they are fab if you would otherwise struggle.

LoyaltyAndLobster · 15/08/2017 20:43

OP I have never owned or used either, if I were to use one I would feel disgusted with myself afterwards (no intension to offend anyone here) I don't understand why someone who can get the real thing would buy a sex toy, I would see that as the last resort.

gamerchick · 15/08/2017 20:49

Erm because you can practise and experience different strength climaxes, you can learn the best angles for vaginal orgasms and see how long you can get them. It's finding out about what your body can do in the pleasure stakes. I pity someone who judges it as disgusting.

hingedspeculum · 15/08/2017 20:50

Because sexual gratification doesn't necessary require a penis? Or even another person?

"The real thing" Grin
Oh dear.

VestalVirgin · 15/08/2017 20:54

Loyalty, I think you are confusing vibrators with dildos.
Vibrators can vibrate, which is part of their appeal. I am pretty sure no penis is able to do that. Hmm

NotInMyBackYard1 · 15/08/2017 20:55

Its just a different kind of good that's all..... worth a try for sure ;)

Ilovefraybentos · 15/08/2017 20:57

Also amused by "the real thing" Grin

SleightOfHand · 15/08/2017 20:57

Each to their own but I find it masks the intensity.

NotTheDuchessOfCambridge · 15/08/2017 20:57

Ooohh now, a vibrating penis! That is something they should invent next! I can't orgasm through penetrative sex alone so my vibrator is a must. I really wonder what people think they do with them or them to be "disgusted" Hmm

Mumof41987 · 15/08/2017 20:58

I can orgasm without one . I can orgasm during sex and doing it manually with myself or when dh plays about . Does that mean I won't get fun with a vibe ??? My friends have said it's a different kind of orgasm than sex or with fingers ?? Iv no idea !

Oh I don't know, stick a couple of pints in your partner and I imagine he could have a go Grin

MouseholeCat · 15/08/2017 21:00

YADNBU or weird- you probably just have a good understanding about what you like tbh.

I have no strong feelings either way when it comes to sex toys. I've bought a few but am just as satisfied with as I am without. I only bought them because I was vaguely curious, but you can have just as much fun without.

Nuttynoo · 15/08/2017 21:02

I prefer my/DH's fingers but have tried one. If you haven't tried it, how can you have an accurate idea of what you prefer?
