I'm probably going to get a Mumsnet lecture: however I think strangers asking to take pictures of my son when we're out for a family meal every single weekend and for others to join our table to pet my son like he's a puppy is overstepping boundaries. Am I wrong ?? A: he's not a dog so petting him is just weird and b:he is my child he's not an art piece so strangers taking photos are a complete Nono.

Is there something distinctive about him which elicits these reactions? I thought my own DS was a smasher but I never had to fend off the paparazzi when out for meals. Confused

honeysucklejasmine · 03/08/2017 18:51

What's so special about your son?

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 03/08/2017 18:51

Why are they taking photos?

chowmeinchick · 03/08/2017 18:56

Random people actually just come up and start taking photos of your child?

I think my son is perfect, I've had a few comments saying he's cute etc but this has never happened to me. Am I missing something?

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2017 18:57

Why are so many randoms taking pictures of your son? That's really odd.

lovemelovemyboys · 03/08/2017 18:57

Everyone falls in love with him he's got a special aura about him and he's a beauty his laugh is what people see. We were having breakfast in a hotel we were staying in and he was laughing when all of a sudden 230 guests joined in with laughing it's like a paparazzi everywhere we go.

Surely if someone comes up to you with a camera/getting their phone out you can tell them not to?

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2017 18:58

Nope. I've still never seen that happen, even to other children who have a special aura.

House4 · 03/08/2017 18:59

Ha ha! Funny!

Questioningeverything · 03/08/2017 19:00

Feckin hell. Special aura. Heard it all now 🙄🙄

lovemelovemyboys · 03/08/2017 19:00

Sometimes they don't even ask they just sit there pointing their cameras at them

230 guests are enthralled by your child?

CallMeKate · 03/08/2017 19:01

Ok, so 230 hotel guests started laughing along with your child? Hmm. Ok then....

PurpleDaisies · 03/08/2017 19:01

Why do they all have cameras out?

ButchyRestingFace · 03/08/2017 19:01

Whatever you're taking, I hope it's available over the counter in the near future. 👍

AnyFucker · 03/08/2017 19:02

Is his name Jesus ?

chowmeinchick · 03/08/2017 19:03

I agree with you that it isn't acceptable but if you know/can see it's happening surely you can tell them to stop?

To be honest, this sounds like a load of bollocks. Most people surely know not to just start taking photos of someone's baby at breakfast?

lovemelovemyboys · 03/08/2017 19:03

His laugh is infectious I've been at the bus station with him and he was laughing at a video I was crying with laughter for 10 minutes I couldn't move

oh dear op, you have pointed out that your child is more special than other children. you are about to get roasted. put a fire blanket on immediatley.

in answer to you q. people should not take pictures of anyone without ansking - especially children.

not sure if i would mind about the petting -

mogulfield · 03/08/2017 19:04

Sparklingbrook · 03/08/2017 19:05

Freddystarshamster · 03/08/2017 19:05
