I'm probably going to get a Mumsnet lecture: however I think strangers asking to take pictures of my son when we're out for a family meal every single weekend and for others to join our table to pet my son like he's a puppy is overstepping boundaries. Am I wrong ?? A: he's not a dog so petting him is just weird and b:he is my child he's not an art piece so strangers taking photos are a complete Nono.

I'm worried that this is going to happen to my child! Our family have something about us where people are so drawn. My nephews get non-stop attention from people in public.

Mrsknackered · 03/08/2017 21:49

I have only come on here just to also share that I'm in absolute stitches too.

notreallythere · 03/08/2017 21:56

What's the horse's name?

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/08/2017 21:59

notreally - Hellhound perhaps? I'm sticking to the 666 theory.

BeverlyGoldberg · 03/08/2017 21:59

Gutted OP has gone. I scrolled all the way down hoping to see a photo of the horse at least. Neigh.

AtomHeart · 03/08/2017 21:59

Zoro Forbes-Tatler

AwaywiththePixies27 · 03/08/2017 22:00

N0tNowBernard you laugh but seriously. You should have been in pixieland earlier. Full blown tantrum over what fucking poxy colour cupcake they were having. I'm bot sure about DDs earlier but mine was glowing a deep shade of red!! Grin (she's a 5ft 4 pre-tween so people are a lot less accommodating of those sort of tantrums reserved for toddlers, including me!).

You know what, fuck it, we're going out with friends tomorrow. . Should sort her aura tight out. Wink

AwaywiththePixies27 · 03/08/2017 22:01

*right not tight.

HardPiper · 03/08/2017 22:18

The image of 230 people all laughing at once is giving me the creeps.

OP do you pull him around town on a vintage horse? While everyone laughs?

Willow2017 · 03/08/2017 22:25

Phyllis
Just dont buy a vintage toy horse, your kid will be fine normal Smile

toastandbutterandjam · 03/08/2017 23:03

I was holding my friends baby once whilst she nipped to the loo and someone asked for a picture of the baby - she said she liked her eyes.
I said no, she wasn't my baby and it was up to my friend. I got told that she didn't have time to wait for my friend, so she'd have to go without the picture what a shame

Only happened the once. Never again.

You do sound a little like someone I know though, however, she's childless. She insists that when she's out, people stare at her because she's 'gorgeous', people are forever wanting pictures of her, every man is after her, people are always asking her for 'tips' on how to do their make up properly because she's the ONLY person who can properly apply foundation etc. In the 22 years I knew her, i've not once seen this happen. Our mutual friends haven't witnessed this either.
When I asked her about it, I was called a narcissist and told that I give off bad vibes, so nobody approaches her - she said we couldn't be friends after that.

Maybe you can borrow me OP? I'm sure my bad vibes will scare them all off Grin

PearlyPinkNails · 03/08/2017 23:30

Go to bed OP, you're drunk and embarrassing yourself.

CherryChasingDotMuncher · 04/08/2017 21:00

Place marking to come back to this thread. Could do with a laugh tonight after I've put my aura-less bog standard son to bed.

Betsy86 · 04/08/2017 21:10

Placemarking through my tears of laughter

Oh yes @PhyllisNights I forgot for a second that you are a legend in your own lifetime and everyone else pales in comparison to you.

Well your nephews have a different mix of genetics so I'm sure your child will be perfectly ordinary looking, worry not

Hallomiaddicted · 04/08/2017 21:31

Laughing out loud !

Ecadia · 04/08/2017 21:35

There's more than one person that thinks this actually happens? Confused is there something in the air? Water?

MadMags · 04/08/2017 21:41

it looks like the OP has gone now

Bet she looked directly at him. Blinded by his smile. Shame.

fairgame84 · 04/08/2017 21:46

I've seen your child OP. I laughed as well.

Oh dear.

BeccaAnn · 04/08/2017 21:59

is he blond and you are in China or something where having blond hair is almost magical? and before I get flamed I worked for a chinese company and was going out with a blond man, one of the women asked if they could have a cutting of his pubes to prove that they were blond too. (I declined to give her any 'cuttings')

Jessiecat27 · 04/08/2017 22:15

Oh this is amazing 😂 I was oncertainly abroad and some creepy guy asked to take a picture of me and then one of the both of us (me-16yo) my mum agreed! So maybe one creepy person but I'm surprised you counted 230, are you sure it definitely wasn't 231 instead?

NotAnotherNoughtiesTune · 04/08/2017 22:17

Totally with you OP.

The amount of old ladies who cry with joy when they see my DDs and many others rush up to us and give them £5 notes.

It's just stifling.

They aren't even at school yet. It's going to be so unfair when the teachers bake them homemade biscuits and not the other children Sad
