WIBU to wear these boots to a wedding?

I have a wedding to go to in October. I'm planning on wearing a long sleeved dark green knitted dress that's about knee length, with black tights and boots very similar to these. The wedding is in a barn and due to the time of year will be pretty cold.
Do you think it would be okay if I wore these boots, or will I look like a prat?

IMO yes. Not suitable. Smart leather / suede boots would be better. or fleece lined tights (toasty, would recommend) and normal shoes.

Sniggered at that. It is a wedding in a barn in October, it doesn't warrant that level of wrapping up - it isn't winter in Siberia. Wear a vest under your dress and insoles in your shoes and you'll be grand.

I'm leaning towards 'prat', sorry OP, I'm all for an eclectic look, and I can see in an everyday setting these would look cute with a dress and tights but with a dress suitable for a wedding? Too casual and winter tramp through the woods with wooly hat and scarf, I'm you can find comfortable boots that look a bit more dressy?

I know that it isn't a given that everyone has to conform to tradition.
But if you're in a sea of men in suits and smart shoes, and women in dresses and heels, then at best you'd look out of place, and at worst like you didn't think the couple were worth the effort!

I would just like to throw into the mix a friend of mine wore white timberlands for most of her own wedding but it was her own wedding which made it ok

The barn won't even feel like a barn when it's done up for a wedding, there'll be patio heaters etc there

Those boots would be lovely with jeans and a snuggly jumper, but not at a wedding. Echoing previous posters who suggested long leather boots.
