AIBU?
To think the body shop are tw*ts!

Rant alert!
I've noticed a few threads on here with people saying the body shop is just not the same as it once was.
Every time I really like a product they discontinue it, like the lip balm I liked then the Brazil nut scrub and now big satsuma shower gels!
I know I'm not alone as others have said the same. The cherry on the cake came today. Last week I went to the body shop to purchase a big bottle of their satsuma shower gel (which I bloody love) to be told they didn't have satsuma in big anymore just the (overpriced) small ones. I went home and ordered it online. I received an email today saying they no longer stock the satsuma in large sizes and sorry for the inconvenience. They are going to discontinue it aren't they?
AIBU to just think the body shop is all going to shit? Should I even bother anymore?

I can't buy from them. There is one in the town near where I live and the staff don't leave you alone. I'm a well dressed female in my late forties, clearly not going to steal anything, and they come up and ask if you want help, you say no politely and then you can feel them watching you.
It makes me feel horribly self conscious and uncomfortable. I'm sure that's why the store is usually empty, and I'm sure they are on,y watching as they are bored shitless, but it really is excruciating. I don't even go in now, like the vast majority of the town I also tend to just walk past. It's creepy as hell.

I stopped buying my skincare stuff (that I loved) when they 'upgraded' the packaging and shoved up the price. No I don't want a pump dispenser for foaming face wash, I'd rather have a simple easy to manufacture tube that I can cut the end off and scoop the last bits out thank you very much!

I'm bored of the body shop. Everything smells so ie headache inducing overpowering generic sugary-ness.
They stopped the brazil nut body butter, that was ok and the pepper mint intensive foot cream feels nice to put on but othet than that, nah. Even at sale prices with extra off, I can't be tempted.

My oldest friend and I always treat each other to Body Shop things for birthdays - we have done since the late 1980s. Over the years all of our favourites have been discontinued several times over.
This year she bought me a couple of sample kits of shower gel & body butters to thoughtfully try and find some new favourites. I'm sad to say I haven't even opened the packaging yet. It all looks so unappealing.

KingJoffrey they still do the elderflower eye gel? At least they have it on their website:

I've heard that the Elderflower EG isn't the same anymore. It was nice, thick & cooling before. Apparently now it's watery...
The packaging is a bit cheapy now. I saw a gift pack for half price recently but it didn't appeal to me as a birthday gift. And before I would have bought this kind of thing from them.
So it's more expensive & less quality, like a lot of high street brands nowadays unfortunately...
Also, I remember they used to do great sales, flogging off loads. Now it's this 20% Off nonsense.

OP i am brewing an email to them along EXACTLY these lines! They discontinued my favourite oat face mask (which they'd banged on and on about being a bestseller, and seemed universally loved); changed the eyebrow pencil into an unusable crayon; then the real last straw was I went in there a couple of days ago to get a new towelling headband to replace one I left in a hotel. They've changed it so it doesn't stretch any more, it's this tiny unyielding thing that would never fit over my head I took it back into the shop and the ladies were passing it around in amazement at the inexplicable design choice!
I like their Rainforest Volume shampoo and conditioner, but they're currently flogging it at half price so are probably about to discontinue that too, leaving me with absolutely no reason to shop there ever again.

Used to love it years ago but it's become too expensive. I went in yesterday as I saw they had a sale, and the perfume that so many of us wore when we were poor teenagers (school kids even), White Musk, is now £22 for the EDP. I seem to remember that being a cheap and cheerful scent, so many of us wore it as it was affordable.

It's clearly an international policy as they do exactly the same here in Australia! As a result, I have no idea what they even sell anymore, as I haven't entered one in years.
