DH leaves for work at 7.30, I leave for the school run at 8.30. I was the last one in the bathroom for the last 3 mornings. Just got home from work and for the 3rd day in a row there is wee in my toilet! It definately wasn't there when I left, DH works miles away so it wasn't him but someone (or something) has been weeing in my toilet! So what is it? A ghost incapable of flushing? The cat has somehow come way beyond litter training? I mean what the hell is happening?!

Yeeeaaaahhhhh.......I would be staying in a hotel....

Do you rent OP?

Nikephorus · 15/06/2017 12:12

Can you also put a lock on the inside (i.e. loft-side) of the neighbour's loft hatch to stop anyone getting into the loft from next door? I know you'd have to unlock it again if someone officially moved in there but it would hopefully stop anyone getting in. Or mouse traps along the inside of the loft hatch so they get their fingers snapped as they get in the loft from the other side.
(I'd be moving out myself)

DJBaggySmalls · 15/06/2017 12:13

We checked our loft after reading this!

icantfindagoodname · 15/06/2017 12:17

My landlord also owns the house next door, I have spoken to him, he is calling 101 and changing the locks on next door. The lock on the inside is a good idea I will mention that to him aswell. Really scary thinking someone has been up there all that time, while the kids are here aswell! Will update soon as I know anymore, on way home from work but won't be going in until landlord gets here.

Sometimes I'm really glad I live in a flat...

anchor9 · 15/06/2017 12:18

😦

Jaynesworld · 15/06/2017 12:20
Shock
FreakinScaryCaaw · 15/06/2017 12:26

Shock How's horrible!! That's made me shudder.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2017 12:27

Whaaaat? So the attic of all 3 houses are connected just like 1 big attic? So you can get to everyone else's stuff? That alone creeps me out.

NilesCrane · 15/06/2017 12:33

Shock I've been watching this thread but thought there would be a non-sinister explanation.

IloveBanff · 15/06/2017 12:33

So, if it is your cat, it has inadvertedly alerted you to people in your loft by its behaviour. I think if there are people in your loft using your loo, they would flush, so you would remain unaware of their existence.

PoorYorick · 15/06/2017 12:34

This is weird.

NilesCrane · 15/06/2017 12:35

Why would they not just squat in the house next door though? Who'd want to live in an attic? Nowt stranger than folk.

GhostPower · 15/06/2017 12:37

Omg! That sounds so creepy. I wanna know what it is! I'm on the edge of my seat here waiting in suspense reaches out for the popcorn. Would anyone like some? Dun dun derrrr. I don't know if that's the right spelling for the sound effect 🙈

BendydickCuminsnatch · 15/06/2017 12:38

Wouldn't you hear someone opening the hatch and jumping down from your attic in the night? Or is it always after the house has been empty?

bambisims · 15/06/2017 12:43

Oh my goodness!!

DragonBone · 15/06/2017 12:45

Woah ! That's seriously worrying 😲 can your attic door be opened from inside the attic then ?

HateSummer · 15/06/2017 12:47

Hmm!

CypriotDonkey · 15/06/2017 12:48

Have they been taking anything/ food, etc?

Our house is like this and we have 2 padlocks on the loft hatch upstairs, I am slightly paranoid

Goingtobeawesome · 15/06/2017 12:52

Well this has taken a sinister turn Shock.

WellThisIsShit · 15/06/2017 12:54

I'd remember that you can also report it directly to the police, you don't have to go through the landlord.

Hopefully it can be sorted out quickly.

Rioja123 · 15/06/2017 12:55

This is really scary, call the police

HateSummer · 15/06/2017 12:56

The situation escalated quite quickly eh? I'd be phoning the police and not touching anything for fingerprints. Call the police op.

WellThisIsShit · 15/06/2017 12:57

Also, if your landlord and your sister have both been up in the attic and around the house, won't any evidence be destroyed/ comprised?

HateSummer · 15/06/2017 13:03

Yeah I'd stop poking around and just report it to the police.
