DH leaves for work at 7.30, I leave for the school run at 8.30. I was the last one in the bathroom for the last 3 mornings. Just got home from work and for the 3rd day in a row there is wee in my toilet! It definately wasn't there when I left, DH works miles away so it wasn't him but someone (or something) has been weeing in my toilet! So what is it? A ghost incapable of flushing? The cat has somehow come way beyond litter training? I mean what the hell is happening?!

I do hope the Feds find out who it was OP. Can they not do a DNA test using the urine?

Wow, were to start with that gem!

I assume you mean the police, what with us not being in the US, and what use would a DNA test be if the person has nothing on record?

Time to step away from the tv....CIS:Mumsnet isnt a thing. Hmm

PurpleDragon76 · 15/06/2017 20:51

I am glad your landlord is taking it all seriously, I hope you can sleep OK! Weird the phantom lodger didn't just flush the toilet. I hope you solve the mystery

blankface · 15/06/2017 20:56

Wonder what the CCTV delay is,
if it's the LL who can see it first, perhaps the LL knows who it is and doesn't want them interviewed by the Police, or it's someone in the LL's employment who doesn't want to be recognised.

abigamarone · 15/06/2017 21:01

CIS:Mumsnet isnt a thing
Spoilsport.

I really really want it to be a thing.

WetsTheFinger · 15/06/2017 21:04

But if they only used the loo when you were out then why not just flush Confused . And why not poo in it. None of this makes sense. Hmm

passthecremeeggs · 15/06/2017 21:08

Yikes - read the whole thread and really wasn't expecting this! How terrifying

Fairybella · 15/06/2017 21:12

Wtf I'm gna check me loft... nah fuck that hubby will!

WellThisIsShit · 15/06/2017 21:12

Yeech!

Siwdmae · 15/06/2017 21:13

Can't get DNA from urine. Has to be bone, blood, cells, teeth.

64PooLane · 15/06/2017 21:32

Fucking hell Blah Shock

AsYetUntitled · 15/06/2017 21:41

My money was on the cat! I've never been so glad not to have a loft.

Elledouble · 15/06/2017 21:43

Shitting crikey. I was going to say something flippant like "I love a good Mumsnet mystery" but this has taken a pretty dark turn!

Hope all gets sorted soon, OP.

Tiredtomybones · 15/06/2017 21:54

Bloody hell blah how absolutely terrifying.

SoMuchWaiting · 15/06/2017 21:55

I'm going to show this to DH to prove that I wasn't being paranoid when I insisted that he put a bolt on the loft hatch so that I can check it's locked and know that nobody has climbed up there. They wouldn't have been able to lock it from inside the loft so when I'm home alone it makes me feel safer. I thought I'd been watching too many scary movies but MN has proved that it could happen in real life!

SparklyScourer · 15/06/2017 21:55

Move house

SparklyScourer · 15/06/2017 22:01

Sorry I've just read the whole thread hope you are ok Flowers that's really horrible

GhostPower · 15/06/2017 22:15

Blah blah blah that would have terrified me to hell. I was terrified just reading it. Did you ever find out who it was?

And CSI Mumsnet can be a thing if we want it to be! Wink

minisoksmakehardwork · 15/06/2017 22:21

Where is your toilet in relati n to the loft hatch? Is it conceivable that someone with good aim could get from loft hatch to toilet?

bananamonkey · 15/06/2017 22:22

SoMuchWaiting don't watch the episode of Luther where the killer hides in the loft, it's terrifying

Holdingonbarely · 15/06/2017 22:24

Blah blah etc
Fuck a holy duck
Not sure I could sleep now.
I can't believe you had the balls to stay there.
How fucking scary, proper serial killer type scary

Lostmymarbles1985 · 15/06/2017 22:24

Oh god this sounds terrifying op! My heart is racing just reading about it. Glad your LL is taking it seriously and you sort it out soon!

BlahBlahBlahEtc · 15/06/2017 22:32

Holdingonbarely

I didn't have a choice, trust me I went into that flat 'armed' with something every time after that and slept right against the door.. I have right nightmares even still and religiously check / freak out about the doors and windows being locked .. and I always leave the key in the lock so no one can unlock it from the outside Hmm

user1489434024 · 15/06/2017 22:36

I'd like to follow this with interest please x

BlahBlahBlahEtc · 15/06/2017 22:36

p.s no I never found out who it was. I have a sneaking suspicious it was possibly my ex (bf at the time) but I have no proof to that, just because he was a c**t, I like to blame him in my head lol.

GhostPower · 15/06/2017 22:40

Did he have a set of keys?
