DH leaves for work at 7.30, I leave for the school run at 8.30. I was the last one in the bathroom for the last 3 mornings. Just got home from work and for the 3rd day in a row there is wee in my toilet! It definately wasn't there when I left, DH works miles away so it wasn't him but someone (or something) has been weeing in my toilet! So what is it? A ghost incapable of flushing? The cat has somehow come way beyond litter training? I mean what the hell is happening?!

Dear god! This is terrifying Shock

Hotpinkangel19 · 15/06/2017 16:29

Hope ur okay op

Tazerface · 15/06/2017 16:32

Pretty stupid intruder to not flush.

RortyCrankle · 15/06/2017 16:39

This is horrifying. I hope you are ok OP. I think you should check that all of your valuables are still where they should be.

What I don't understand is if the house next door is empty, why didn't they use the loo in there?

Please take care - have a Wine or two.

icantfindagoodname · 15/06/2017 16:40

I really thought it was the cat too! My sister heard a lpt of banging when she went up the ladders but she thought it was workmen, but I think maybe it was the person running off. I start my second job at 5 but my sister is keeping the kids at hers and the landlord is doing everything while I am out. I am actually quite concerned about whoever has been there, they can't be in a good way and hope the police find and help them.

icantfindagoodname · 15/06/2017 16:43

oh forgot to add, everyting is there about from about £20 worth of £ coins and 50ps, but whoever it was left around £50 in there

OP posts:
BeepBeepMOVE · 15/06/2017 16:46

But why would they use OPs loo and not the one in the empty house?

NemosKnickers · 15/06/2017 16:47

Maybe the water is switched off next door?

Supersoaryflappypigeon · 15/06/2017 16:58

They left money? Someone homeless who has been begging then? Have you noticed any homeless people begging near your house? Gosh how awful Sad

HerRoyalFattyness · 15/06/2017 17:04

Jesus Christ! That's petrifying.

icantfindagoodname · 15/06/2017 17:06

Sorry there is no bathroom in next door, all the kitchen and bathroom is gone. The house is being re-built on the inside.

thesunwillout · 15/06/2017 17:26

ThanksMsMay · 15/06/2017 17:38

meowstra he'd bring women round to his "sex opad" with a toilet full of poo??

ZigZagIntoTheBlue · 15/06/2017 18:18

Horrifying! Glad it's been reported and apart from the weeing, nothing untoward has happened!

Figglesticks · 15/06/2017 19:00

This is dreadful. I'd feel extremely upset. We recently stayed home on a day we'd normally be out at my place of work and recently have been noticing things moving about when we get home. DP and I thought we were going a bit senile but I was sat in a room by our front door reading MN and someone tried to put a key in the lock... when I ran to the door they ran away as quickly as possible. I rang the police and our letting agent as the only people who should have keys were all home already... turns out the cctv right outside or door is taking a long long time to come through and prove who it was. It can only be an ex tenant or one of her friends, or our letting agent who insists the keys were locked up and he even opened the office to double check they were there.

ScarlettDarling · 15/06/2017 19:41

Totally creepy! Shock

Although I did have to giggle at babyblue's post above about the loft lodger touching your veg in the fridge! Of all the random things to worry about when you've got someone living in your loft!

Bubblysqueak · 15/06/2017 19:50

Sounds like you've got a good LL glad he's sorting the locks.

blankface · 15/06/2017 20:10

Figglesticks It could be anyone who has ever visited there and had a key cut, including workmen as well as friends and previous tenants.

The Letting Agent having 'all' the keys is not a secure premise to work from.

Change your locks today.

Holdingonbarely · 15/06/2017 20:18

Wow this is crazy and figglesticks you should start a thread of you're own! That's totally mental. Why would anyone come round. I slightly understand a homeless person living in an empty house next door and finding a way to use a toilet.

But someone coming to your house, unlocking the door and doing what!? Sitting and watching telly
That's so scary.
Agree, change you're locks asap
And thank god you even have cctv

QODRestYeMerryGentlemen · 15/06/2017 20:38

Feckin hell!

GhostPower · 15/06/2017 20:39

That's scary Figglesticks. I'd be interested to find out who it was once the CCTV footage comes through. Keep us updated.

I do hope the Feds find out who it was OP. Can they not do a DNA test using the urine?

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 15/06/2017 20:43

This is horrific. Glad you're LL is taking it seriously.

BlahBlahBlahEtc · 15/06/2017 20:44

When I was 21 I lived in a tiny flat at the top of an old manor house (run down and in the loft).

After a while I started noticing weird things like some socks would be missing, or something would be out in the kitchen area that I just know I didn't leave out.

Gradually it got worse and ended up with things like the velux windows being open when I got in from work (I know I didnt do that because if it rained all my things would be ruined), once the bath was wet when I didn't have one that morning and had been at work all day.

I went to my mums for a week and my hot water switch was on when I got back, I had a coin meter which had barely any funds when I left so it would have run out the same day I left, but the water in the tap was hot when I got back!

When I slept in my bedroom (could fit a single bed with a tiny walk way to the door) I would leave the door open, I always had moon light in the frontroom/kitchen that I could see from my bed,

I should add that from my bed to the far corner of the living space was about 6 full paces.

One night something woke me up and when I opened my eyes I thought I could see a moonlit shadowy figure in the far corner, I closed my eyes and thought maybe I was still dreaming or something but when I opened them the figure was standing over me, like bent over and I could see little details in the dark like the shape of his nose and eyebrow. I closed my eyes again hoping to fuck I was still dreaming for some reason, then I heard the door click and it was gone.

It took me about 2 hours to get the balls to get out of bed in the dark, by this time the sun was coming up so I could see a bit more.

I had nowhere to go though and sort of doubted myself ..well I did doubt myself A LOT. I told the police but they didn't take me seriously, probably because I barely believed myself at the time.

I slept every night there with my mattress against the front door though since then. Moved out about 2 months later. It still gives me a panic when I think about now 10 years later! Creepy as fuck.
