You need to go root out John Schindler and the Jester on twitter. Both hugely respected ex military/IC, both republicans, both vehemently anti trump.

Trump is the son of a mafia boss. He is a mafia boss for all intents and purposes. His problems started after 2008. No banks would lend to him with his dodgy bankruptcy records and the financial crash.

Hence why Trump Jr said all their finding comes from Russia.

I'm delurking to say that I'm impressed by the Jester as well; he has enough integrity to admit that Trump is a disaster, even though he's a Republican.

I see claig ayyylmao didn't hang around for long. I think it's a bit of a stretch to defend DT on the basis that he's not trained in public speaking. As a business man, I presume he did a lot of public speaking. Also there is a huge difference between not being trained in public speaking and most of what comes out of your mouth not actually making any sense.

Ana Navarro is a Republican and she makes me laugh. She does not tolerate any Trump nonsense.

I think that even when this is much further along (impeachment/trials/sentences) there will be Trumpers who just say, 'It's fake news,' or it's a hoax created by Democrats (losers) and the liberal elites (press/anyone who disagrees with us).

With regard to Trump die-hards I think it will take much more than words for them to change their views. After all, unwelcome facts and opinions can always be dismissed as fake.

Only when Trump's policies directly impinge upon them and their sense of well-being/worth (healthcare, for example), will they begin to rethink his Presidency and even then, some of them will still blame Obama.

A source close to Comey told me this morning: “He hopes there are tapes. That would be perfect.”

Because the tapes would confirm that Comey probably told Trump that he can't talk about the investigation.

It will all come crashing down. Sometime. And his tweets will be used against him. Again.

Comey apparently has stated he will only testify at a hearing if it is open, not closed. Interesting. (and perhaps a bit terrifying for a few people in the GOP arena).

I think that seems like a pretty sensible move from Comey considering that way his testimony will be recorded and live streamed by the media to millions of viewers. This way there will be no misrepresentation of his words or covering up what he has to say. Also if he gets defenestrated before or after everyone will know why.
