the kind who would laugh at and enjoy watching kittens being set on fire (animal cruelty especially early in lifeis a marker for psychopathic tendencies)

Because it's just the same as that. Animal cruelty plain and simple.

Imagine a group of thugs chasing a terrified animal to give it a horrible death

Now imagine they are posh people on horseback

VILE

Theresa May makes me angrier every day. Disgusting excuse of a person.

I don't give a shit if you live in the country or anywhere in fact and foxes are a nuisance to you - kill them humanely if you must!

No, beyond, all those lovely animal loving people who wouldn't hurt a fly always lay their trails down streets of semi detached houses and cars. It's great for the horses, apparently....!!

RoseGoldProsecco · 13/05/2017 12:31

Rail - are you on the right thread??!

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 12:33
makes for interesting viewing. I wonder what your thoughts are Frilly
Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 12:46

This is a screen shot taken from the website of the Fitzwilliam in January 2016. This is a direct quote from George Adams an ex master and formed part of a FAQ about hunting. It was removed when it started to circulate.

It must be incredibly arrogant to realise that hundreds of thousands of people think your hobby is disgusting - but to assume it's because THEY are all wrong!

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 13:16

They will stop at NOTHING to pursue their disgusting pastime. By virtue of the fact they continue to hunt with impunity and behave above the law they then argue the law is 'bad' and does not work. It's a bit like drink driving, getting away with it then stating drink drive laws don't work. They and their followers are nothing but thugs. It is heartening to see a petition started three days ago is nearly at a million signatures. MP's need to pay attention and stop indulging themselves and listen to their constituents.

as id it couldn't be Beyond Sad

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 13:30

33.58.... hmm... I wonder where I have heard those words before... can you help out Frilly Smile

Railgunner1 · 13/05/2017 14:36

Hunting for sport or tradition is just vile and people who are doing it are utter cunts. Yet they whinge that sabs ruin their day Hmm

AvonBarksdale99 · 13/05/2017 14:57

I never understand the argument of 'you're against fox hunting but you eat factory farmed meat!! So fox hunting is fine!!!'

Um... what? Yes they may be being massively hypocritical. But it doesn't change the fact that fox hunting either is, or isn't, wrong. A murderer might campaign against rape, it doesn't make rape fine.

Also, the argument that 'foxes kill for fun, they kill chickens slowly, so fox hunting is fine'. Ok, so if I round up a fox after its slowly killed all my chickens, can I string it up, torture it, slowly kill it over a few days? No??

Railgunner1 · 13/05/2017 15:35

hunting with dogs and horses was never about protecting some chickens

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 18:03

Shame Frilly was unable to return and offer her thoughts on my links.

"A Minority Pasttime" (I won't pretend I watched all 3 parts, although I wish I had the time to do so) is quite interesting. Thank you for posting it, beyond.

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 19:02

You're welcome Cricket. It is distressing in parts but worth a watch.

CricketRuntAndRashers · 13/05/2017 19:07

Beyond

I must admit, I personally don't know what to do with the extremely sentimental parts, but yes, it seems like the documentary to watch if one really wants to understand why some people so vehemently oppose fox hunting (with dogs).

The hunters are also very good at making themselves look like absolute savages.

hackmum · 13/05/2017 19:12

For anyone wondering why Theresa May has said she will hold a vote on foxhunting, when it is only of interest to a small minority of people, here's your answer:

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 19:16

What I don't understand is why the hunt community react very badly to anybody wanting to simply watch/observe what they are doing if they have nothing to hide. They whinge constantly that people 'don't understand country ways' but refuse point blank to actually engage with the wider public...... but we know why don't we. Their violence towards hunt monitors is worrying. These people are simply there watching and nothing else yet they have been subjected to horrific violence and intimidation.

CherriesInTheSnow · 13/05/2017 19:22

Beyond it must be because they know what they're doing is fucking revolting, however they lack the decency and compassion to care about the animals' suffering - however it doesn't stop them being aware that most other people aren't so cruel. Hence the reluctance for spectators :)

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 19:25

TBH Hack it is no secret about her support of hunting. She has been vocal about it before. Most Tories do support it but fail to take onboard the overwhelming revulsion people have towards it. They truly believe it is their right to hunt and kill for sport and openly support the small minority who want repeal and will do everything they can to push for repeal. I have my own ideas as to why hunting is still so synonymous with the Tories but May and her open support of this disgusting pastime is nothing but political grandstanding and pretty meaningless to the election as a whole. When it DOES become important will be way after the election when May and her cronies move to put it back on the table.

Beyondworried · 13/05/2017 19:30

This is also about hunting deer and hares to.... people often forget these animals are also fair game to these thugs

CricketRuntAndRashers · 13/05/2017 19:30

Beyond

Because they do realise that a many people would be very disturbed by witnessing it?

But I must admit, they're extremely... well, "bad" at what they do.

user1490395938 · 20/05/2017 17:14

Fox hunting is abhorrent. Killing anything for pure enjoyment is just mindlessly cruel. Killing to eat is a different story.
