I was surprised to read that 90% of adults eat pizza at least once a week. AIBU

Is it unreasonable to eat pizza at least once a week, or are you unreasonable to be surprised?

brasty · 12/03/2017 22:46

AIBU to be surprised

We eat it around once a week here. Homemade so I don't know if that makes it any better.

LoupGarou · 12/03/2017 22:47

YABExtremelyU as now I want pizza and I have coeliac disease and no way of making pizza as have run out of the ingredients. Grrrrr. Grin

Joking aside, I don't know, I certainly wouldn't say that's the case where I live in the US.

FelixFelix · 12/03/2017 22:47

We have it once a week. Sometimes twice Blush DP makes an amazing pizza though!

MrsJayy · 12/03/2017 22:48

I am part of the 10% that doesn't i dont really like pizza , why are you surprised though

GotToGetMyFingerOut · 12/03/2017 22:49

Yip we have it generally once a week. Dh is half Italian, we all love pizza and pasta and my kids would live off it if they were allowed!

treaclesoda · 12/03/2017 22:50

I don't eat it once a week but I certainly love it enough to wish I ate it once a week. Proper pizza though, in a nice Italian restaurant, rather than Tesco Value pizza.

Eastpoint · 12/03/2017 22:50

I want pizza now, don't even remember when I last had it, sometime in January? Sad

Crunchymum · 12/03/2017 22:50

Once a month - if that - here. Normally take away though. My homemade attempts have always been bad Blush

luffbunny78 · 12/03/2017 22:51

Yep, we have pizza once a week too, sometimes homemade sometimes shop bought, my children would choose it every night if they could!!!

RedBugMug · 12/03/2017 22:51

not sursprised really. we have pizza about once a week.
it is/can be a nutritionally good meal. we make them ourself so wholmeal base + lots of veg toppings.

Thegiantofillinois · 12/03/2017 22:51

Every saturday. Asia do a great diy one. The ladies on.the counter love Dh, so we get an extra dollop of sauce.

Thegiantofillinois · 12/03/2017 22:51

Ffs, Asda.

HateSummer · 12/03/2017 22:52

We do Blush. We never used to until I started working. We had it today 🍕🍕🍕🍕

hellokittymania · 12/03/2017 22:53

I love pizza but don't always have access to it . I work in very rural areas in developing countries where you don't even have hotels with working cappuccino machines let alone pizza . There is a café where they employee staff who are deaf and a few years ago they were trained to make pizzas but since the ingredients have to be sourced from a neighboring province you don't have pizza that often . I tend to go a bit wild when I am in the UK and can keep one in my oven anytime of the day that I wish . Grin

bigmack · 12/03/2017 22:53

10% here

Joinourclub · 12/03/2017 22:54

Well I'm suprised too. I think we may have had it once this year? I can see us having it more when the kids are older, it's a good Saturday night easy family dinner.

PickAChew · 12/03/2017 22:54

YABU to be surprised. Yes.

We make home made pizza on Fridays. We make it all makes from scratch, everyone helps do the toppings and prep, and it only takes 30 minutes
US no delivery fees and tips😀

iklboo · 12/03/2017 22:55

10% here too. How have they come to this figure though? They've not interviewed everyone in the UK.

PickAChew · 12/03/2017 22:56

Though, yeah, I'm in that 10%, but cheese and I aren't the best of friends, at the moment and the kids can't eat it at all, so it's an occasional thing for me and DH, only.

AlmostAJillSandwich · 12/03/2017 22:56

I love it but less than once a week. Did have it today and yesterday though as home alone for weekend and disability, easy to just shove in the oven.

Hadenoughoftumble · 12/03/2017 22:56

We have started having 'make your own pizza' night around once a week. We use wholemeal pittas as the base, passatta as the sauce then have a variety of toppings on plates (onions, peppers, ham or chicken, sweetcorn etc) and we build our own. 3yo dd loves it! And she actually started eating the peppers and stuff which she would never do before. It's one of my favourite meals in the rotation now.
