To wonder how males are allowed to compete and win in female sports

NZ weight lifter Tracey Lebrechts has had her nationsl records broken and her place in the National team taken by a male Laurel Hubbard - previously Gavin. How is this fair and just why is this allowed?

DD plays rugby. Girls rugby, against girls. It's already potentially dangerous without her having to play against boys/men when she's older. It would force the end of the sport.

This disgusting male accuses women of "penis envy", while full well knowing that his male musculature and bone structure is what gives him a massive advantage over the women, and certainly is the only thing they are jealous of, not his gross penis. (Which I assume he kept? Ugh.)

This is disgusting and wrong, and I don't get how anyone can be so brainwashed as to think it is okay.

I guess we now all have to stop making jokes of the East German female swimmers who looked like men, because that's the new normal now. (Except not really, because women still aren't allowed to take testosterone for that sweet, sweet male muscle advantage. Only men are allowed to.)

We are back to the times where women could not go out because no public toilets, and were not allowed to participate in professional sports at all. That's where we will be in ten years if not enough women wake up now.

That's not ok, especially in a sport like weight lifting where testosterone gives you a MASSIVE advantage. Sigh.......

What is interesting is that sports don't like it when women go the other way. Look at the case of Mack Beggs. Lots of testosterone involved there.

When i've questioned TW/TGs taking part in womens/girls sports, taking places, taking prizes/medals etc - i've often got the response that winning doesn't matter and that that is a mean spirited view to put winning/competition above allowing TW/TGs the chance to compete and take part. I don't think some folk take women's sports seriously.

Oh please - us girlies shouldn't be interested in sport anyway and now all these lovely men are going to make training for anything fucking pointless anyway.

We need a whole new sportsperson classification system, if para sports can classify competitors by disibility severity, why can't other sports people be classified by testosterone levels.

Thank you for highlighting this OP. It's dreadful. Have been reading more about the weightlifter Tracey whose place in the 90kg+ team was stolen by a man. Tracey has had to lose 17kg in order to compete in a lower weight class. Just reading this (a link to a NZ herald article) - a very humbling attitude from her.

Please tell me what I can do about this. Is there a live petition dealing with this issue? It's just wrong!

Bambambini, that article ! His sense of entitlement and sheer bloody ego are huge. He may have transitioned, but he still has all the tone in his words, (and muscle) of a man. Don't get me wrong, he sounds like a man who has loved sport all his life, and should be able to carry on playing sport as a transwoman, just not at the expense of women !

He's so incredibly full of himself about all the events he's won/sporting success he's had since he transitioned. All at the expense of women who have been training all their lives. Makes my blood boil. As for being beaten up by his teammates, perhaps they were pissed off at having unknowingly been sharing changing rooms/showers/intimate details with a man (who was quite possibly getting off on it).

Bloody outrageous.

What really pisses me off, is that before all this radical transactivism, I was the most 'live and let live' person ever. I couldn't have cared less if someone wanted to dress as a woman/man/goat. I probably wouldn't have even cared if a transwoman used the same toilets (if they weren't being inappropriate). I understood that people might feel misgendered etc.

Not now. Now I feel like I'm fighting against them. I'm not comfortable with this either, but I have a very sporty DD who may well be seriously injured by changes to sports rules etc.
