DD plays rugby. Girls rugby, against girls. It's already potentially dangerous without her having to play against boys/men when she's older. It would force the end of the sport.
I posted fairly recently as a headmistress, asking if I should allow the traditionally boys and girls football teams to become mixed and girls. The overwhelming majority of intelligent and reasoned replies were against my initial thoughts, suggesting that anything other than girls and mixed up to the end of secondary school was holding back girls. One posted said that it was sad that someone in a position to help was ignoring their responsibility.
Assuming your DD is a girl under 14 then it seems mixed teams are acceptable according to the current guidelines. I suspect those who were so vehemently against keeping the two teams I discussed as sex-segregated will equal be against a man competing in women's sport.
It seems "peak-trans" is a fairly nasty way of saying 'I don't care about the cause of them'. Funnily enough, I don't get the same acceptance when I suggest that I hit peak-feminist in the late 80s.
I hope your daughter never experiences the disappointment at failing at her sport because she knows a man will always beat her.
I suspect (as I don't think I've met a trans-anyone) that it is a tougher hand to be dealt than not winning at sports.
Again, that argument didn't hold water when I was told that having a mixed football team, despite 14 of the players likely to be male, the one girl who may make the team would benefit and it was therefore worth having mixed soccer up until 18.
