Pain

I think, to quote Blackadder, the expression rhymes with 'clucking bell'.

OnTheDarkSideOfTheSpoon · 26/01/2017 20:29

Oh sorry Blush

I'm so flabbergasted about what's happening that it seemed possible that he would do something so idiotic and dangerous.

Either way, it's terrifying.

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 26/01/2017 20:43

Lweji that was brilliant!

amispartacus · 26/01/2017 20:44

I think Theresa May is being passive aggressive to Trump. Making subtle digs.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 20:45

Trump, Twitter and the revolt of the permanent Government

I'd laugh if Twitter was Trump's undoing. Live by the sword. Die by the sword.

First the Park Rangers. Then the Scientists. Now the Astronauts. (NASA)

All have alternative twitter accounts. They are organising marches on Washington

I have finally caught up with you.

This week, everyday has been like waking up in an American Horror story

This morning it was the Wall
And torture is really useful

FFS - what will tomorrow bring?

Where's Melania now? Has she escaped back to NYC?

One of my favourite photos from the Inauguration was the one of Melania being guided into the WH by the Obamas because her fuckeit of a 'D'H was too self involved to give her a second thought.

I know he has done much worse than this- but if this is how he treats the mother of his child - what hope is there for the American people?

Lweji · 26/01/2017 20:52

It turns out that Trump is not the only person who knows how to tweet.

Grin

(from the tweet link)

He is in power, but it looks like it's going to be an uncomfortable 4 years for everyone.

The worrying thing is how far he'll be prepared to go to keep face and power.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 20:53

Hi Safari. Your words are beautiful, just beautiful and even phenomenal Grin

The orange one is calling for 20percent tax on mexican imports to pay for the wall. This is just the start isn't it... he's smarting from the Mexican President telling him where to get off

This is Steve Bannon, chief strategist to the president of the United States if America.

He either does not understand or does not agree with the concept of a free press.

The British Prime Minister has no business dealing with these people.

merrymouse · 26/01/2017 20:59

X post!

FarAwayHills · 26/01/2017 21:00

Just catching up and the horrors continueShock

Please God let Teresa May have some back bone and not bow down and creep to the small handed orange one. He seriously needs taking in hand and a good stern no nonsense talking to from nanny.

BigBadgers · 26/01/2017 21:00

How much does the USA import from Mexico? I am assuming if they put on a 20% import tax this cost will get passed to the consumer or there will me a shortage of goods from Mexico. I don't really know much about these things, so if anyone can enlighten me as to the practicality of this proposal that would be awesome...

originalmavis · 26/01/2017 21:01

Will Americans and therefore buy more Mexican imports to show those pesky Mexicans?

BestIsWest · 26/01/2017 21:01

Actually, where IS Claig?

Roussette · 26/01/2017 21:02

Just watching Theresa May before I turn over... she sounds so so eloquent compared to DT talking to the same people. Plenty of warnings in there about Russia too. And I am not joking when I say.... the applause is like a standing ovation compared to Trump's earlier on.

He paused and waited for them to give polite applause. She is being interrupted by loud applause.

Fair dues to her on what she is saying with regards to the rest of the world.

I hope she mentions human rights

BigBadgers · 26/01/2017 21:06

This bit about Russia is interesting, if trump can understand all the loan words it must have made him squirm a bit :

'When it comes to Russia, as so often it is wise to turn to the example of President Reagan who - during negotiations with his opposite number Mikhail Gorbachev - used to abide by the adage “trust but verify”. With President Putin, my advice is to “engage but beware”. There is nothing inevitable about conflict between Russia and the west. And nothing unavoidable about retreating to the days of the cold war. But we should engage with Russia from a position of strength. And we should build the relationships, systems and processes that make cooperation more likely than conflict – and that, particularly after the illegal annexation of Crimea, give assurance to Russia’s neighbouring states that their security is not in question. We should not jeopardise the freedoms that President Reagan and Mrs Thatcher brought to eastern Europe by accepting President Putin’s claim that it is now in his sphere of influence.'

Roussette · 26/01/2017 21:06

I bet the audience are sat there thinking "why can't we have someone who sounds so professional, eloquent and forward thinking, instead we have the orange wall building divisive egomaniac"

It's like the difference between a 6 year old talking and an adult. It is so marked. Wow. She is talking about ties to other countries, India, Pakistan etc. Whoever is her speech writer (might be her?) deserves a medal.

'Long words' ...Damn it, must proof read better when making witty remarks about other people's lack of linguistic ability

BigBadgers · 26/01/2017 21:08

I wonder if her main reason for going was just so she would look awesome next to Trump.

Roussette · 26/01/2017 21:09

She's done her homework and it shows bigly.
