I think one benefit of challenging the current administration on these minor things is to cast a shadow of doubt over anything they say.

If they lie about crowd size, can anyone believe them about no ties to Russia?

OTOH, it rattles the Prez because he values being the greatest. It pushes him into showing himself to be an arsehole.

SuburbanRhonda · 24/01/2017 08:26

Just reading in the news about how even the US right-wing press have called Trump out on the "alternative facts" claim.

However, Breitbart are still supporting the use of the term, saying it's common in legal situations where both sides present their "alternative" facts. I think they're confusing that with "evidence", which by law has to be true.

Roussette · 24/01/2017 08:27

Thanks Badkitten that works!

Informal just had a look at that Twitter feed, interesting!

God, size really does matter to Trump. He couldn't let the small hands argument go and then brought up the size of his grape penis. I'm still gobsmacked that I have heard the POTUS talk about how big his penis is!

As for the slippery one Kellyanne... regarding her outfit at inaugaration. I think the US will be going the way of N Korea and he wants armies of women dressed like that marching in front of him.

I'm wondering if he is commissioning portraits too.

His signature has been analysed by handwriting experts and this is one of the verdicts...
"The writer lacks empathy and craves power, prestige, and admiration,” the expert said, before observing that Trump’s oversize P—as in, uh, president—might be compensating for something. Grin

Flipping 'eck... looks like I'm right... Trump has declared 20th January to be from now on "A Day of Patriotic Devotion".

Adam Khan on @khanoisseur on Twitter? It's an eye opener!
Thanks Informal, now following!

Roussette · 24/01/2017 09:00

This is just appalling isn't it... I can't quite believe what I am seeing.

Donald Trump banned the US government from giving funding to health groups that offer abortion counselling. This is the picture showing him signing the papers. He is surrounded by men.

Can you imagine a female president surrounded by a group of women signing away men's rights for something to do with them, their bodies and minds?

Is Trump just Putin's useful idiot?

Destinysdaughter · 24/01/2017 09:04

That image is chilling.Shock

Lweji · 24/01/2017 09:06

We had a previous discussion with a Trumpette who claimed women could simply go to another state.
Maybe soon women will have to go to Mexico or Canada. Maybe Europe.
Or give children for adoption. There are many rich couples waiting to adopt. Win-win.Hmm

Formerpigwrestler9 · 24/01/2017 09:07

Surely this is just going to lead to further protest?

amispartacus · 24/01/2017 09:10

It's slightly worrying how his vocal supporters don't comment on more controversial areas - as they 'just want him to make America great again'.

He can get away with a lot if people who support him turn a blind eye to things.

PausingFlatly · 24/01/2017 09:15

Ah where are the MN Trumpettes when you need them? The ones banging on that there was no choice but to support Donald, because Hillary would be so awful for women's rights?

Destinysdaughter · 24/01/2017 09:17

On a more positive note, Michael Moore asked pp at the rally on Sat to call their state representatives to object to the choice of Betsy DeVos for the education position , a billionaire with no experience of education. Her confirmation has now been delayed by a week...

It's like a soap opera.

This no funding for abortions in developing counties - so in countries where there is little contracepton (poverty, war, church edict) what happens to women if they are raped as a weapon of war? Or because they are a virgin and some man thinks this can cure AIDS? Or could die because of health issues?

Who will help and support the women and the babies they must have?

FarAwayHills · 24/01/2017 09:27

Didn't Trump go on about his appointment for Agiculture being Sonny the farmer and he appointed Sonny because he was a great farmer and the other candidates knew nothing about farming. I guess the same thing doesn't apply to Education thenHmm

Formerpigwrestler9 · 24/01/2017 09:34

I think Trump will cause chaos and division, and that is why he has been put there

Lweji · 24/01/2017 09:40

Could you be suggesting that a certain dictator has done his best to put Trump as President, as part of an evil plan for world dominance?
Who could you be thinking of?

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/01/2017 09:45

it is a little odd as to how all the Trumpettes vanished at once. Hmm

Lweji · 24/01/2017 09:47

I suspect some were banned, but MNHQ say nothing.
Others were still around. In the Brexit threads?

Formerpigwrestler9 · 24/01/2017 09:48

Ahem, gosh no whatever made you think that Lweji?
I mean it just sounds like a bond film plot doesn't it!

Roussette · 24/01/2017 09:49

formerpig You would have thought so wouldn't you. The picture is chilling and what the fuckity fuck is his son in law doing there? Jared is one of the men stood watching him sign this. I've lost what little respect I had for Ivanka. She should be ashamed.

OP posts:
Formerpigwrestler9 · 24/01/2017 09:55

I don't imagine Ivanka is really in a position to go against or influence the donald

Not that I mean to defend or excuse her, just (as pointed out many times) she didn't expect to be flotus

Lweji · 24/01/2017 09:59

A search suggests most Trumpettes had an epiphany on the 6th.
Except Inkanta, who was around until more recently.

I'm sure they've been assigned another task. By someone who may like to install presidents. Wink

MsHooliesCardigan · 24/01/2017 10:01

He is starting to terrify me now. It's like he's becoming a parody of himself.
