Is there a Twitter handle ‏*@reelDonaldTrump*? Ie bullshit ('real' Scots as opposed to 'reel' Scots). That could be amusing.

'Ach jings, the wa' wuz braw'

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 12:50

Could trump turn American into a repressed closed regime where the press are afraid to speak out against him?
Surely there are too many people with a vested interest being open and progressive?

amispartacus · 22/01/2017 12:52

"Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election! Why didn't these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly"

I suspect that those people voting did vote

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 12:52

I need that big elastic band to hold my jaw up somehow

This is a spoof film, not reality

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 12:53

He's such a trucking fool
Fucking tool

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 12:56

Why didn't these people vote? hmmm most people didn't vote for him. The stupid electoral college system won it for him duh.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 12:58

Celebs hurt cause badly
Potus can't construct a sentance
What has been hurt?
The cause?
Or are the celebs hurting 'cause it's badly
He bigly needs to go back to school

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 13:00

"Celebs hurt 'cause badly constructed sentences open me to ridicule?"

MsHooliesCardigan · 22/01/2017 13:00

I want to cry.

31 million people watched the Inauguration In horror and bemusement

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 13:01

I have no doubt that investigative journalist and hackers of the world are already planning his downfall. I hold onto that thought.

AlwaysTheWinner · 22/01/2017 13:02

I actually laughed reading those latest tweets. Not that it's at all funny. He is deluded.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 22/01/2017 13:04

Looks like he had a lie in today!!

One thing that makes me angry amongst the many things that do is that they all went to church yesterday, presumably praying for wisdom, truth etc, then they go out and lie, lie, lie.

Apparently May hopes he will come and visit the uk later this year. Whatever I'm doing that day is cancelled. Even if I have to go to the Hebrides I'll be there to show my disgust.

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 13:04

I'd follow his account for a laugh but just can't bring myself as he would think I was a fan.

Destinysdaughter · 22/01/2017 13:05

Just read this, translators are struggling to translate what Trump is saying into their own language. As what he's saying is so nonsensical! It's bloody funny but also a bit worrying...

Donald J. Trump ‏*@realDonaldTrump* 12m12 minutes ago
Wow, television ratings just out: 31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!

And less than the 37.8 million for Obama in 2009 - forgot to mention that one eh? And not any better than Clinton or Bush's first inaugurations?

And WAAAAYYY less than the 41.8 million for Reagan in 1981.

So ... movie stars really do trump reality TV plonkers.

originalmavis · 22/01/2017 13:08

People were just watching to see if it was a hoax or in the hope of gunshot.

AcrossthePond55 · 22/01/2017 13:16

I think it would be hard for Trump to completely shackle the press as freedom of the press is enshrined in the Constitution. But he will try to shut down the information given them with spurious 'national security' claims and start his own stream of 'disinformation' to discredit them using Breitbart, Fox News, et al. Luckily the Press is pretty good at ferreting out the truth AND filing legal challenges to suppression of information citing the Freedom of Information Act.

Trump's been able to get away with his bold-faced lies up until now because, for the most part, the Press didn't give a shit about his various business deals. His bullshit claims about his various 'deals' only rated the back page of the business section. The press had a 'yeah, yeah, whatever' attitude towards him because his hotels, steaks, and wine didn't really matter in the big picture. But it's different now, it's no longer his 'private business', it's 'public policy' he's dealing with. The media is watching him now, just as they have watched every President since Washington. And after yesterday, they will be watching (and fact checking) him through the eye of, not a plain microscope, but an election mass spectrometer!

So much of it depends on us, the American People. If the majority of us demand transparency from Trump and demand truthful reporting from the Press, Trump will be stymied in many of his machinations. A lot of what yesterday's messages were about at the Rally I attended were 'stay informed', 'stay organized', 'stay involved', 'stay vocal' and to remember that he was not elected by the majority of the people, he lost the popular vote. And that we, that majority, must not become the 'Silent Majority'.

InformalRoman · 22/01/2017 13:20

Are Barack and Michelle trying to surreptitiously stick a "Help Me" sign on Melania's back?

All things reality with Trump, maybe not so beautiful now!
ElizabethG81 · 22/01/2017 13:21

I thought he would be transferring over to the POTUS twitter account, but he's keeping his own as well? It looks like they've got someone else writing the POTUS one, and he's going to continue his endless shit stream on his personal account. You couldn't make it up. I think he is genuinely mentally ill.

Chippednailvarnishing · 22/01/2017 13:28

No Informal they are making sure her batteries don't fall out.

Formerpigwrestler9 · 22/01/2017 13:31

Or preventing her from running screaming iin the opposite direction

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 22/01/2017 13:40

When you contrast Michelle's body language with Trump, that looks like a gesture of tacit support for Melania from the Obamas to me.

DJBaggySmalls · 22/01/2017 13:41

They have a cunning plan...

illegitimateMortificadospawn · 22/01/2017 13:42

Given what has been written of Trump's treatment of Ivana, I suspect that Melania's home life is no picnic right now.
