AIBU to think this is not appropriate for the office?

One of my team wore a dress similar to this today:

www.asos.com/ASOS-Petite/ASOS-PETITE-Long-Sleeve-Bodycon-Rib-Mini-Dress/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4948857&cid=8799&Rf989=5011&Rf981=3677&Rf1012=4458&sh=0&pge=0&pgesize=204&sort=-1&clr=Black&totalstyles=187&gridsize=3

AIBU to think it's not appropriate for the office? I didn't say anything as we don't have a formal dress code and didn't know if I was just being a jealous old fart (she's 10 years younger than me and looked very good in it)

You've actually searched the web for a picture of it? Blush

YABU. And I don't get why it bothers you.

jerryfudd · 01/04/2015 21:49

I've worked in offices for years and have seen worse (aka more on show).

NeedsAsockamnesty · 01/04/2015 21:50

What's wrong with it?

I'm assuming she didn't accessorise with neon plastic stripy sunglasses and fur over boots

JiltedJohnsJulie · 01/04/2015 21:50

So you don't have a dress code and you've gone to the trouble of tracking the dress down on here and posting about it. You need to have a word with yourself.

EquinoxEclipse · 01/04/2015 21:50

I've worked in offices all my life, and this doesn't bother me at all, in fact I've seen far worse!

msgrinch · 01/04/2015 21:51

errrrmmmm wtf? That's perfectly fine. yabvvvu

TurnOverTheTv · 01/04/2015 21:51

High neck, long sleeves, Oof steady on...

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 01/04/2015 21:52

Are you jealous d'you think?

I wouldn't let it bother me tbh.

SpringtimeForShatner · 01/04/2015 21:52

What sort of activities did she have to do in the dress?

cashewnutty · 01/04/2015 21:52

It looks lovely and perfect for the office. No idea what your issue is with it.

AlpacaMyBag · 01/04/2015 21:53

YABU.

WorraLiberty · 01/04/2015 21:53

Creepy thread!

LemonBreeland · 01/04/2015 21:54

I was expecting something worse than that. I think it's fine of you have the figure for it

TRexingInAsda · 01/04/2015 21:54

YABVVVVVVU. Wtf? Get a grip.

msgrinch · 01/04/2015 21:54

Exactly worra weird. Really weird.

LaurieFairyCake · 01/04/2015 21:54

What are you all looking at ?

It's THIGH high and completely inappropriate

One bend over and you could see what she had for breakfast!

Surely office wear is knee length and no shorter

TheMoa · 01/04/2015 21:54

It looks perfectly fine Confused.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 01/04/2015 21:55

I think it's fine.

chickentonightx · 01/04/2015 21:55

Yes quite prepared to accept that I am just jealous. It was a similar dress not the same, and searched it to see if I was bu which it seems I am!

Hers was a bit shorter and tighter than this, so much so that she had to take tiny steps and do a weird contortion to pick anything up without bending over

msgrinch · 01/04/2015 21:56

and here comes the drip feed.

Passmethecrisps · 01/04/2015 21:57

But what does inappropriate really mean? Did it prevent her doing her job? Was she constantly tugging at it to pull it down? If not then I cannot see what is wrong with it.

But then my hair is too messy for work according to a thread I was on recently so maybe I cannot judge

woowoo22 · 01/04/2015 21:57

Gaah, ankles, knees - what was she thinking?!

Hmm
Chocolatefudgebrownieicecream · 01/04/2015 21:57

I think it's too short, I wouldn't notice the length so much if she was wearing black opaque rights though.

Chocolatefudgebrownieicecream · 01/04/2015 21:57

*tights

Passthecake30 · 01/04/2015 21:57

What did she wear with it? I had something similar and wore it with leggings and boots and felt perfectly respectable.
