"Can we go to Pizza Express? Pizza Hut is a bit common and low quality"

Says Ds friend to me just now. Apparently, his family 'don't do' Pizza Hut.

Wibu not to take the ungrateful git anywhere for lunch now?

First time he's been to our house. So far, I've been told how small it is, asked how much dh earns, asked if this is a council house and asked why we didn't wait to have baby dd until we had a bigger house.

Ds is mortified.

'In our house we are grateful for what we have and don't compare with other people. We quite like Pizza Hut and I'm sure you'll be happy with wherever we go. Unless you'd prefer I dropped you home?'

NorwaySpruce · 26/08/2014 11:32

Is the child old enough to be told just how rude they are (i.e. aged over 7ish)?

If so, I'd tell them straight.

Fragglewump · 26/08/2014 11:33

Yuk. How old is he? Maybe tell him it's terribly uncouth to discuss money matters. Are you friends with his parents?

Floggingmolly · 26/08/2014 11:33

Send the little bugger home! Shock

BitchPeas · 26/08/2014 11:33
Shock

Take him to Pizza Hut! (It's nicer Blush )

Do children like this really exist? How old is he?

areyoubeingserviced · 26/08/2014 11:33

Brilliant response Jana.
What a horrid child

SaucyJack · 26/08/2014 11:33

It's true tho..... Pizza Hut is bogging.

Edieandkoala · 26/08/2014 11:35

He's almost 12. I told him his questions were none of his business and rude. He shrugged at me.

Ds keeps coming in and saying "I'm so sorry mum, I've told him he's out of order". Ds wants him to go home. He was supposed to be here until 5, but I am thinking of feigning an urgent dry appointment and dropping him home early.

He makes a good point IMHO

saintlyjimjams · 26/08/2014 11:35

How old?
Bloody hell.

WorraLiberty · 26/08/2014 11:35

You've left out a very important bit of info

His age!

TalcumPowder · 26/08/2014 11:35

I prefer Pizza Express, but he's being monumentally rude and I hope you've made it very clear those kinds of comments are not acceptable.

saintlyjimjams · 26/08/2014 11:35

12??? Send him home.

TalcumPowder · 26/08/2014 11:35

But yes, is he four or fourteen?

PPaka · 26/08/2014 11:36

He's obviously just repeating what he's heard
He's right too

Pastperfect · 26/08/2014 11:36

Rude.

But fair point

StillStayingClassySanDiego · 26/08/2014 11:36

How old is this boy who says 'low quality' Shock

WorraLiberty · 26/08/2014 11:36

12? I would have pulled him up at the first sign of rudeness Shock

Edieandkoala · 26/08/2014 11:36

There are a lot of kids like that round here. The parents are far worse!

OP posts:
StillStayingClassySanDiego · 26/08/2014 11:36

xpost

BitchPeas · 26/08/2014 11:36

Drop him home. Say sorry Pizza Hut wasn't good enough for your DS, byeeee.

Then go and have lunch.

What a precocious little brat!

thelmachicken · 26/08/2014 11:36

lol
His parents are going to be mortified when they hear that!

TalcumPowder · 26/08/2014 11:37

Cross posted with you. If your poor son is also having a miserable time, I would take the rude friend home early, and tell his patents why.

PPaka · 26/08/2014 11:37

Oh, I just read the bit about Pizza Hut
The rest is very rude

NigellasPeeler · 26/08/2014 11:37

Pizza Express is a bit nicer but the boy has terrible manners no doubt picked up from his charming parents.
