Says Ds friend to me just now. Apparently, his family 'don't do' Pizza Hut.

First time he's been to our house. So far, I've been told how small it is, asked how much dh earns, asked if this is a council house and asked why we didn't wait to have baby dd until we had a bigger house.

Ds is mortified.

'In our house we are grateful for what we have and don't compare with other people. We quite like Pizza Hut and I'm sure you'll be happy with wherever we go. Unless you'd prefer I dropped you home?'

Is the child old enough to be told just how rude they are (i.e. aged over 7ish)?

If so, I'd tell them straight.

Yuk. How old is he? Maybe tell him it's terribly uncouth to discuss money matters. Are you friends with his parents?

It's true tho..... Pizza Hut is bogging.

He's almost 12. I told him his questions were none of his business and rude. He shrugged at me.

Ds keeps coming in and saying "I'm so sorry mum, I've told him he's out of order". Ds wants him to go home. He was supposed to be here until 5, but I am thinking of feigning an urgent dry appointment and dropping him home early.
