This is now our third thread.

Thread 2 is here - with lots of useful information:

Check that it's screwed in tightly and that the post on the top is on properly. If that's not the problem then it might not have enough wick - apparently you can use cotton wool as extra wick if that's the case.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:13

Dry it with a cloth, including taking the pin out and giving the wick a good going over.

Sometimes I have to use PoundLand cotton buds to clear out the inner tube.

Use cotton buds to clean the battery each side.

Good guide here: www.discountvapers.com/why-does-my-clearomizer-gurgle-and-leak/

Sometimes it can be useful to put another one of the plastic rings on top of the first one, but upside down.

My clearos are v high maintenance Grin

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:14

Queen, I'm sure people on the threads were re-wicking to 1.8 - eek! Might change the order Shock

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:19

1.8 should give you more vapour on a standard battery but as far as I know it won't prevent leaking.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:20

Oh I see Blush

Thank you for the good thoughts by the way!

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:22

I think you've conflated re-wicking and rebuilding coils.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:25

I must have. Six weeks in and still so much to learn.

Good. I need a hobby Grin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 18:25

Yes, I rewick to 1.8 Smile It doesn't stop gurgling though, you just get more vapour. It's the same as cranking up the voltage a bit.

This is good for gurgling bottom coils, plus the cheapo cotton bud down the centre tube. If none of that works, try the tips on this page.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:26

And the tank running hot problem? Is there a fix for that or should I just chuck it?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 18:27

rebuild! I rebuild to 1.8 ohms BlushGrin

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 18:30

Is that a bottom coil too Dwerf? When you say running hot, are you getting a burnt taste or does it just get physically hot? If it's just getting hot but not burning it's not a problem really. It might be a sign that the coil's about to go though.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:31
Confused
QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:31

Is it tasting burnt Dwerf? If so you need to change the atomiser or give it a clean.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:32

Physically hot. I don't think you can take them apart, you fill them from the top.

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:38

If it vapes ok then I wouldn't worry about it myself. Can you link to what you have? Most tanks have replaceable atomisers.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:41

They are like this: premiere-cigs.co.uk/product/l-e-d-3-5ml-clearomizor/ I've had them a while, maybe they are just old.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 18:41

Sounds like a CE4 - does it have long dangly wicks in it?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 18:45

Fucking hell you have got shinyitis! They're great! Grin Do they really hold 3.5ml?

I agree with queen, if they're vaping ok just carry on. If they have dangly wicks and you are getting a burnt taste it can help to tilt them occasionally to make sure the wicks are well soaked.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:49

They do, but the wicks don't dangle, they are a bit long for that. They may even be attached at the bottom. I'm not sure they are vaping right either, now that I've tried the new tanks.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:50

I don't think they hold 3.5ml, there's no markings on them. I think they are 1.8ml

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:54

They look like they might unscrew from the bottom and have replacement atomisers under related products - I'd drop them an email and see if they do have replaceable atomisers.

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:59

They don't unscrew. And they were on clearance at the shop where I bought them (physical shop), on the website they don't even have a manufacturer for these tanks. I think I'll bin these two and when the others run out, I'll get better tanks. Cheers anyway.

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 19:04

I've noticed that myepack have the itaste 134 mini for £80 and the original for £90.

Allergictoironing · 06/03/2014 19:21

Evening ladies - sorry for the silence, but been out all day rather than stuck in front of trash daytime TV.

Ledare congratulations, so happy about the biopsy results!

Schro - "bricks and mortar" shops refer to ones that have a physical presence rather than just being on the internet, as in they are built from bricks and mortar (the most common building materials at the time the saying was coined).

I definitely agree we should try to stay in AIBU for the traffic, and I was thinking just today while out that the term "Next of Vapers" should somehow be in the title of the next thread Grin.

Bumped into a guy today in Maidstone who was vaping outside the Auction Halls, so naturally we got talking. He got his battery & clearo set up from Socialites, 2 small batteries (maybe 650mAh if that), 2 clearos and a charger & it cost him £50! He also asked about juice, as he wasn't sure they were great value for money - at £10 for 15ml I told him they weren't! Sent him away with lots of things to Google & the names of a few of the on-line places we've had recommended on here. Apparently they've given the impression that he HAS to keep using their batteries and clearos as none are compatible with each other - I proved THAT wrong by screwing my GS-H2 onto his stingy little battery. He was VERY jealous of my rainbow spinner Grin

SchroSawMargeryDaw · 06/03/2014 19:24

Arghh! Both of mines are now tasting burnt Confused and my main one was not at all cheap...
