This is now our third thread.

Thread 2 is here - with lots of useful information:

I got my kits from Paradise Vape and Vape Escape, both less than £50. There are different kits on both sites, ranging from budget to expensive, so you can choose. & if you email, theyll give you advice. Although I haven't used Paradise Vape for ages..Vape Escape is my regular for e-liquids; fast delivery and you can build up money-off points as you go. Someone more knowledgeable will be along in a minute, there are a lot of companies out there. Smile

Have a look at the fist page of this thread - about 3rd post explains a lot of the jargon.

This lot are a good company & that's a good price to start with.

Or go to a local vape shop - they will be very happy to help you and although you may pay a tiny bit more you will benefit from being shown exactly how it all works.

And with the change from your £50 you can get a couple of iclear16s so you can have a few flavours on the go.

KatieScarlett2833 · 06/03/2014 16:26

Great news Ledaire xxxx

rosiesarered · 06/03/2014 16:30

Thank you all so much will have a look. hoping to order something tonight. good to have a starting point Google gave me about 5 million results

rosiesarered · 06/03/2014 16:43

Also what strength nicotine will i need? Smoke about 10 to 12 roll ups a day

magimedi · 06/03/2014 16:57

Most people start with 18 rosie. I think that would be OK for you.

Are you planning to go cold turkey?

I took a week of mixing rollies & vaping & then stopped the fags.

Haven't had a fag for nearly 18 months after 35+ years of smoking.

I meant to say that you need to learn how to vape - it's a bit different from a cig in that you draw in slowly rather than quick puffs.

Turned out to be condensation on the battery. Tis all working well now. I bought another kit anyway (£20 for a battery, tank and three liquids) and a couple of spare tanks. So now I have the choice of blackberry, strawberry mint (tastes more like mikshake), butterscotch (lovely), chocolate mint or a mix of Caroline and Coconut. I am truly spoilt and will now never go back to actual cigs.

rosiesarered · 06/03/2014 17:07

Thanks yea im planning to just switch straight over

Ledare · 06/03/2014 17:08

Interesting flavours you have there, Dwerf! Glad you sorted it.

Welcome and good luck, rosies Smile

I've ordered some replacement coils Hmm not very exciting but the ones I have are six to three weeks old.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 17:08

oh and Thanks for the input on the Chat thread, Vapers.

magimedi · 06/03/2014 17:16

Do you realise that this thread is going to be full by about the end of this week?

That means about 3,000 posts in 6 months! Not counting all the threads started in chat by people who haven't seen this one.

I am very happy to start thread 4 but I did wonder if MNHQ would give us a dedicated vaping topic?

My only worry about that is that it would be buried in the back & beyond of the board!

OP posts:
Dwerf · 06/03/2014 17:17

That's just what I have in the tanks, I've actually got 14 different flavours in my box.

I'm determined not to go back to proper smoking this time.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 17:51

Well I definitely need coils. All my favourites taste vile in all but the two new clearos Sad

I've ordered 1.8 which iirc should prevent leakage?

Ledare · 06/03/2014 17:52

magi, an out of the way vaping topic would cause me concern as well.

Start the new thread saying, "AIBU to think that you are all a nest of vapers?" and they'll be plenty of traffic Grin

MsIngaFewmarbles · 06/03/2014 17:56

I've been fag free for a whole month :)

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 17:56

I've been thinking about that magi and wondered whether an addictions topic would be useful. Then it could also be home to people giving up fags using other methods and, if they wanted to, the alcohol threads which I think are on the relationships board at the moment? Also disordered eating threads, people having problems with other substances ... I'm not averse to a topic just for vaping though.

What do other people think?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 06/03/2014 17:59

That's a good point, AIBU is brilliant for traffic.

Good luck rosies and well done MsInga and magi Flowers

Dwerf's got shinyitis! Grin

Dwerf · 06/03/2014 18:02

Dwerf thinks she should possibly finish the several flavours in 24mg before vaping all the new 16mg flavours. And I've discovered one of my tanks is running hot after a while. I think that one is on it's way out.

Ledare · 06/03/2014 18:02

"they'll - there'll"

(Wine)

not2nitedarling · 06/03/2014 18:02

ok please help// I have a bottom coil atomiser and it's bubbling.. what can I do?

QueenStromba · 06/03/2014 18:09

I think this is best in AIBU for the traffic (I would have said chat if it wasn't for the 90 day deletion).

I don't see how a lower ohm value will prevent leakage Ledare? Congrats on the biopsy result by the way - I'm really glad it turned out to be nothing serious.

Rosie - 18mg might even be a little high for you since you aren't smoking a lot. I was smoking about the same amount as you and started on 14mg. I'd suggest getting some 18mg and some 12mg in complementary flavours so you can mix them to find the right strength for you.
