This is now our third thread.

Thread 2 is here - with lots of useful information:

I do worry if I am doing any damage to myself by vaping. Also it is too easy to do it around the house with 4yr old at home. (gave up smoking in the house when trying to conceive 5yrs ago and never went back to smoking indoors.)

FlockOfTwats · 03/03/2014 15:44

I wondered if everyone has signed this against the EU shite last week

QueenStromba · 03/03/2014 16:32

I'd sign it but I'm not happy about giving out my full name, address and date of birth.

KatieScarlett2833 · 03/03/2014 16:33

Can anyone send me magis Times article?

magimedi · 03/03/2014 16:37

Sent it to you via PM, Katie.

I signed it earlier. It does ask for full name, address and DOB but it's an official EU site and I would imagine it's checked against the electoral register.

It's not a petition as such. There's more info about it here:

Our weapon of choice is the European Citizens' Initiative, a mechanism provided by the EU that allows its concerned citizens to express their common opinion on how the European Parliament should approach certain subjects, in this case: vaping.

Ledare · 03/03/2014 17:41

Thanks for the article. Signed the other thing Smile

Smoking 8% down in the last year? That is amazing.

KatieScarlett2833 · 03/03/2014 17:44

Signed. It's just like epetitions where you have to log your details too. I always thought they had to ask to ensure you are not a spambot.

Jux · 03/03/2014 18:45

It's so they know it's a valid address and you are a real person and that you have a right to have a say in this arena, ie. not someone in say USA, which is not an EU member state. It's just a validity check.

QueenStromba · 03/03/2014 18:59

I was put off by the logo at the top - made it look like it was their website rather than the official EU site. I've signed now.

Can I get some help to choose a kit please :) Have read the threads but am still a bit confused. Should I go to a shop to try before i buy do you think? Bit of background...am an ex-smoker..was on at least 20 a day for 20 yrs before giving up last June through cessation group but am still using my inhalator (i love it..well done me lol !)..But..have just had a massive bereavement and now find myself buying disposable e-cigs..decided i now want to buy a luscious liquid thingy..I love that it allows you to exhale the 'smoke' (ok vapour) ..so please tell me which one i need.. i imagine i will use a lot of it, i tend to get addicted to stuff see. Links would be great or pointers to the best / cheapest physical shops. Thanks xx

WTFlike · 03/03/2014 22:42

Oh, and one of these in 100ml:

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 04/03/2014 09:58

Hi Lily, I'm sorry for your loss. Very well done for not going back to fags Flowers

If you have a shop near you it would be worth a visit to try out a few setups and flavours. You will pay more in a shop than you would online but OTOH it's easier to take things back and get help if you have a problem. I have no shops near me (London Hmm) so I buy everything online.

I think this is a good starter kit as it has two of everything and lots of spare coils. Evods are pretty good tanks too.

For liquid I use Joose Juice and Premier E-cigs. I would experiment with a few different 10ml bottles before you buy anything bigger.

Nicotine level will depend on how much you use your inhalator. Most 15-20 a day smokers do ok on 18mg so if you're not sure, you could start there and adjust up or down as necessary.

Good luck!

Ledare · 04/03/2014 11:55

Vaping maple syrup and lemon today. Real pancakes later Smile

Allergictoironing · 04/03/2014 17:28

Bad experiment today - pineapple (my current vape of choice) and vanilla. Seemed to bring out the worst in both with an almost burnt taste (yuk) Shock. Won't be trying THAT again in a hurry!

Ledare · 04/03/2014 17:41

Oh, how disappointing. Perhaps it was just that pineapple and that vanilla because it sounds like it should have been a winner to me.

Allergictoironing · 04/03/2014 17:46

I think it may be the vanilla, as I've tried one in the past that I really liked but haven't got on with the current (Hangsen) one. Unfortunately the brand I tried vanilla in and liked, only do it in their cigalike cartridges not in juice Sad.

Sadly, close as I am to the importing manufacturers of the vanilla I liked (family friend of the owners, adoptive "auntie" to the sales & marketing director!) it would be a bit TOO cheeky to ask what brand flavourings they are using!

Ledare · 04/03/2014 17:50

Wasn't JAC vapour by any chance? Their vanilla and chocolate are far superior to Hangsen and I don't think they do vanilla as a juice. It was lovely in a cart.

In awe of your vaping connections!

Allergictoironing · 04/03/2014 18:08

Nope, Smartcigs; they aren't the cheapest about, and don't have a massive range of stuff (own branded kit only), but I know them well enough that I can virtually guarantee the quality of their goods e.g. all ingredients for their juice are independently tested as they come into the factory, and every batch of juice independently lab tested before being shipped to the UK.

Won't be the identical recipe as any other brand like JAC either, as they go out & taste test to blend the juices themselves - damn that must be a rough gig, 2 weeks abroad taste testing e-juice! They tweaked their Red tobacco flavour last year, and I adore the new recipe.

They are the people who got me on to cigalikes initially then proper vaping; you can guess what my Christmas pressy this year consisted of Wink.

Ledare · 04/03/2014 18:23

I'll take a look. Lucky you Grin

Allergictoironing · 04/03/2014 18:33

Yeah, spare clearos & free juice never hurt Grin

Ledare · 04/03/2014 18:37

I wonder if I should link JAC Vapour (better than Hangsen) rather than just raving about them on such a widely-read forum, and then tell them. This thread must have loads of lurkers (I did for months despite being on MN for years)

Might get a discount Grin

Ledare · 04/03/2014 18:39

PM's welcome JAC Vapour

Customer service is also ace Smile

Dwerf · 04/03/2014 18:51

I discovered that VIP cartos fit on Tabelite batteries. Oh happy day, this means the pack I discovered after throwing the battery isn't going to waste.
