G'an yersel Ledaire!
(Coming down from the Scottish thread)
Smile

Ledare · 01/03/2014 14:32

The nice people at Dark Star Vapour sent my order with a free bottle of fresh lime liquid and a 20% off code for after the launch Smile

Ledare · 01/03/2014 14:33

Forgot to say, thanks ilovesooty!

KatieScarlett2833 · 01/03/2014 16:29

Last night I stealth vaped in the theatre. Was great not to have to fight my way out at intermission to stand in the rain and cold.
Today it was Wetherspoons, Clark's and Marks and Spencer.
Good times Smile

Perihelion · 01/03/2014 16:30

paris 3 weeks of no fags here. Very easy.

SquidBobSpongyPants · 01/03/2014 20:15

sorry to hijack but i wasnt brave enough to ask this on my own thread, do you vape around your kids? i started 3 weeks ago and have vaped around my 9 month old becuase i believed it totally safe, ie just water vapour exhaled but hes now developed a cough. obviously it could be coincidence but im now panicking thinking ive caused it. Has anyone elses children got sick from being around a vaper?

magimedi · 01/03/2014 20:17

i haven't got small DCs but I do think that the cough is just a coincidence. All you are breathing out is water vapour - poor lad just has a virus/cold of some sort.

SquidBobSpongyPants · 01/03/2014 20:31

ok thank you. although maybe i should just go outside anyway, its far too easy to continue doing it when its inside and ideally id like to give up.

Ledare · 01/03/2014 20:32

Squid, it's just like boiling a kettle. I hope your DS gets better soon.

Katie! You win this week's stealth vaping award Grin

SquidBobSpongyPants · 01/03/2014 20:38

Thanks Ledare Smile

magimedi · 01/03/2014 22:05

Vaping in Wetherspoons is * (3 star) vape - as they won't let you vape in there.

Well done, Katie.

The only place I've ever been asked not to vape in was the O2 where they were actually selling E-lites. There is apparently one small area where you are allowed to vape but I couldn't find it.

Jux · 01/03/2014 23:24

Good heavens, Queen, that is just ridiculous!

Allergictoironing · 02/03/2014 10:06

Ugh something weird happened with one of my GS-H2 clearos late last night.

Suddenly started to get a bit of a gurgle then juice in my mouth. Cleaned it all out with a cotton bud, loads of fluid in the tube up from the atomiser, then checked everything was screwed on properly. All is fine for a while then the same again - big mouthful of fluid. This time there seemed to be a fair bit leaked around the battery too. After the third time changed to a different clearo & stood the problem one up on it's base on a coaster.

This morning there's no sign of any leakage, nothing in the tube, no change to the level of the fluid. Put it on the battery & perfect vape! Anyone got any bright ideas why this happened last night?

Ledare · 02/03/2014 10:13

That has happened to me more than once. I've found that drying the wicks on a cloth sorts it out. I think they get saturated and the liquid goes into the tube. Unless you tried that?

KatieScarlett2833 · 02/03/2014 10:22

Hehe, didn't know Spooners was worth bonus points, I'd have done it more if I'd known Wink
Just caught up with a friend on FB who is now 2 months cig free and guess what? Yes, she's a vaper too Grin
Bought a new pair of gorgeous boots while out yesterday, reduced from £140 to £45 in Clarks sale. Still in credit with savings so bought another pair in M&S...
Love, love, love the guilt free shopping (not that I felt THAT guilty before) due to not buying cigs.
Happy days Grin

Allergictoironing · 02/03/2014 10:22

Nope didn't try that. But bearing in mind it's a bottom coil clearo, and it was standing on it's base all night, surely the wick would have if anything got more saturated? But I will try that next time it happens definitely.

Had acid reflux in the night which I get very rarely, I'm putting that down to swallowing fluid just before bed.

KatieScarlett2833 · 02/03/2014 10:24

As for vaping round DC. I do and DS says I smell like sweeties. He's very proud of his old mum for quitting.

Ledare · 02/03/2014 10:29

I don't really understand that bit either, but perhaps because it was resting all night it dried out a bit? Confused

Reflux is horrid, sorry to hear that.

DD is the same Katie, says the kitchen smells lovely.

magimedi · 02/03/2014 10:37

I am about to be the old woman who nags now!

If your DCs think your vapes smell like sweeties & they are young, PLEASE make sure your liquids & vapers are well out of their reach.

I am sure you all know that nicotine is very, very toxic but I'd rather say that & get jumped on for stating the bleeding obvious than for some random reader here not to know.

OP posts:
KatieScarlett2833 · 02/03/2014 10:40

DS is 17
DD is 19
They know the difference Wink

Allergictoironing · 02/03/2014 10:44

Ledare I would understand that if it was top coil, but it's bottom coil. I'll put it back on the battery & see how it goes later, may just have been "one of those things".
Magi if anyone jumps on you for saying that then I for one would be jumping on THEM from a great height!

magimedi · 02/03/2014 10:47

Are you sure, Katie? Grin

My Ds calls it 'Mum's crack pipe' !! (He's 30, just in case you thought I was an awful Mum!)

OP posts:
KatieScarlett2833 · 02/03/2014 10:48

Yes, it's mums bong here Grin
(Not willing to work out how they know what a bong is...) Confused

Ledare · 02/03/2014 10:48

DD is thirteen and knows nicotine is a poison. DS is younger but autistic so never out of our sight. He doesn't much care for sweets, prefers carrots Grin

It's a valid point though magi. I think I mentioned toddlers when talking about my airing cupboard.

When DD was younger she was into everything. I had to keep make-up on a high shelf and I'd definitely be locking liquids well away.
