Good job Flock. Don't forget to take a nice selection of different flavours with you for her to try - I've noticed that people often seem to like flavours they never thought they would, and vice versa.
Regarding cost, I've worked out that including all the shiny toys I've bought/ordered, plus all the fluid I've bought, plus all the DIY fluid makings I've got on order, I've spent the same as about 2 week's worth of fags (at a bit under 10 packs a week, around £150). That's over 4 weeks of vaping instead of smoking plus I'll have at least another 4-6 weeks of fluid, and plenty of some of the fluid ingredients left over for more batches.
So adding that up I've saved nearly £150 already in a month and will save at least £300 before I have to spend any more (unless I fancy a few different flavours to the ones I already have/have on order). OK so my initial battery/clearos/charger were at "mates rates" from my friend with an e-cig company, and she did give me a couple of bottles of liquid & a spare clearo or two as part of my Xmas present, but I'm still WAY ahead of the game.
For another friend who I'm working on to swap to vaping, I calculated that if she went for the absolute basics (2 batteries, 2 clearos, charger, juice) at a reasonable standard i.e. not the very cheapest crap but nothing special, on her 20 a day habit she would break even after 2 weeks or less! After that, assuming 2 new batteries a year, a few clearos, and buying ready made juice, she'd still be saving an absolute minimum of £500 a year probably a fair bit more. Made the costs the max I could, made the savings the absolute minimum I could, and only worked it out in my head as she put me on the spot while on the phone so probably underestimated the savings.
