This is now our third thread.

Thread 2 is here - with lots of useful information:

OK, have a look on their website and see if you can find something that looks like what you are using.

LucyLasticBand · 09/02/2014 10:45

so does the silica only aply to the actual brand? so the silica i brought only work with the same brand?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 09/02/2014 11:28

The silica is fine but that looks like a CE4 atomiser or similar and I don't think you can rebuild those easily. I found - you could have a go if you have a knackered one. I think I'd want some way of checking the ohms before attempting it.

LucyLasticBand · 09/02/2014 11:38

thanks plenty, will have a look

Dalaimama · 09/02/2014 11:45

Just found this thread! I'm vaping over a year - haven't touched a cigarette in 13 months - well I had one to see what it was like and hated it. Can't believe I spent so long smoking - so glad I found these. I prefer them to cigarettes. I have the C5 and refillable tanks. I use chocolate flavour with quite a high nicotine content. Want to reduce this but love the throat hit I get with my current juice. It is so nice not to have to go outside for a fag. My nicotine intake is probably huge compared to what I normally had in my smoking days (20 a day)

KatieScarlett2833 · 09/02/2014 11:50

How's your bowels Dalai?
And hi! Grin

Dalaimama · 09/02/2014 12:24

Hi!

Er normal? Should I be experiencing something?!

KatieScarlett2833 · 09/02/2014 12:28

Sorry, my post up thread explains Grin
Where do you get your choc vape from?

Ledaire · 09/02/2014 12:30

Hello Dalai - congratulations on thirteen months Smile

I vape mainly chocolate as well.

Allergictoironing · 09/02/2014 12:36

Hi Dala, welcome to the thread Smile

Throat hit isn't really related to the nicotine content, but more the proportion of PG to VG in the fluid - PG gives throat hit, PG increases vapour (I think it's that way round anyway!). Depending on the brand you usually seem to get between 50% and 80% PG; some of the small on-line traders will actually mix your juice to a range of blends depending on your preferences.

Trying out different brands of ready made juices might help you find one with lower nicotine but the same throat hit, or you could even go down the path of mixing your own Grin

Dalaimama · 09/02/2014 13:21

Aha! I see KatieScarlett - I haven't noticed any difference in that department! Managed too keep control of my weight too which is such a bonus (having piled on the lbs before when trying to quit). The chocolate juice I get online - an Irish company ecig ireland.

Must look into the PG contents - didn't realise the throat hit wasn't connected to nicotine levels. Thanks for the info allergic!

Cantabile · 09/02/2014 19:59

Katie, the blurb on the link says those clearos are V3s, and it says they're rebuildable and that the kit includes 2 spare heads. Is that what you've got?

I've not heard of V3s before, but I'm going to have a look around and see if I can dig anything up. Can you unscrew that bottom silver bit from the plastic coloured tank? The silver bit where it screws onto the battery?

Ledaire · 09/02/2014 20:09

My replacement GSH2's are working fine Confused but I'm loathe to order them from the same seller again. Can someone please recommend a trusted source? One where a colour can be specified preferably (ie not dog's penis red)

Cantabile · 09/02/2014 20:14

Lucy Blush that should have said Lucy! This link tells you how to change the wicks vapouriz.freshdesk.com/support/articles/114905-ce4-v3-clearomizer

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 09/02/2014 20:19

I think they're replaceable rather than rebuildable, cantabile.

Ledaire Grin at dog's penis red. I was already feeling a bit weird about urine bottle yellow, so thanks for that! I get mine from this seller, if you scroll down the page, they do 5 x clear ones.

Ledaire · 09/02/2014 20:35

Thank you!

I have saved £60 this week.

Might be time to get another spinner Wink

Perihelion · 09/02/2014 20:44

Thanks to these threads and chatting to a couple of pals, who used to smoke and now vape, I went and got myself kitted out yesterday....Had a rollie this morning, just because I still had tobacco left, but just vaping since. It's amazing and I don't have to be out in the wind and rain Grin

I was wondering about a couple of things though.....

Are proper ones with batteries and visible liquid allowed in hand luggage when flying?
And what's the ettiquete with vaping in public?

Ledaire · 09/02/2014 21:15

I'll have a sneaky vape in an empty supermarket aisle or hospital corridor, but not sure about Vapes on a Plane. Probably not. they are funny about liquids.

ginmakesitallok · 09/02/2014 21:16

Yes they are allowed in hand luggage, I think batteries have to be in hand rather than hold luggage. I don't vape where I wouldn't have smoked, except in pubs where I ask if I can use an e cig.

Well done on coming over to the vaping side!

Ledaire · 09/02/2014 21:16

And yy, this is the best time of year to give up smoking Grin

ginmakesitallok · 09/02/2014 21:17

Oh, and you're not allowed to vape on board, except I think on Ryan air or easy jet where they sell them on board

KatieScarlett2833 · 09/02/2014 21:18

Loving Vape on a Plane

ginmakesitallok · 09/02/2014 21:18

As long as your liquid is less than 100ml then no problem on planes
