To ask if you think that Knox is guilty?

I have no idea but it seems that her kissing her boyfriend at the time was seen as suspicious whereas I don't think that this is suspicious at all. DNA is...kissing one's lover.no. It's not even that inappropriate to kiss ones lover in the face of tragedy.
Didn't she do cartwheels though?

Well she was kissing him, yet his DNA was found on Meredith's bra....

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/01/2014 22:09

I do.

I think she is 100% guilty and has convinced herself and others that she isn't.

Moln · 31/01/2014 22:09

I've no clue, but also don't understand the issue of the kissing

LeBearPolar · 31/01/2014 22:10

As Meredith Kercher's sister said, we will probably never know the truth. But she has been found guilty by the legal system.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 31/01/2014 22:10

I once read a book about this case and I don't think she or her then boyfriend definitely did at all. as far as I remember, the 'evidence' was circumstantial.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 31/01/2014 22:12

they were also found innocent by the legal system.

RoseRedder · 31/01/2014 22:14

No will ever know

Unless you get a full on statement for what happened from th horses mouth which is unlikely#

SaucyJack · 31/01/2014 22:15

I think she's innocent.

The actual murderer was found convicted on overwhelming evidence and sentenced years ago. There's not a shred of evidence to link her.

I just think the Italian legal system has a hard-on for the whole "sex game gone wrong" thing because she's pretty.

MoominIsGoingToBeAMumWaitWHAT · 31/01/2014 22:15

I don't think she did it. None of us will ever know for sure, I don't think.

For those who say "She's been found guilty so she did it", she's also been found innocent.... so she did it, but she didn't do it?

bisjo · 31/01/2014 22:16

I don't know if she's guilty but I do believe she knows more about what happened than she has disclosed. I also think the Kercher family have been badly let down by the police forensic incompetence.

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/01/2014 22:17

Vamp

They were found guilty twice.

10,000 pages of evidence saw them convicted this time.

It will be interesting seeing America worn itself out of the extradition treaty with Italy. Not least because double jeapordy does not apply (one of the only reasons America can refuse). For that to apply A.K would have had to have been found not guilty by a jury. She was found not. Therefore the only legitimate "out" does not exist.

Poppylovescheese · 31/01/2014 22:17

I don't think she did it. I think she has been scape-goated. I totally agree with Saucy Jack

expatinscotland · 31/01/2014 22:17

Who knows? Why is the question always about her and not her boyfriend, too?

FWIW, my personal opinion is that neither of them is guilty.

Alisvolatpropiis · 31/01/2014 22:18

Saucy

10,000 pages of evidence is not enough?

Nerfmother · 31/01/2014 22:18

Guilty at first trial, freed on appeal, retrial ordered, now guilty?
I think she may have been present with Rafaelle and knows what happened.

Whitershadeofpale · 31/01/2014 22:18

No and I don't think Raffaelle Solicitto is either though this thread demonstrates yet again how Amanda Knox's status has become bigger than the crime.

They know who did it and he's in prison. Unfortunately for a laughably short sentence.

flatbellyfella · 31/01/2014 22:19

If they lived together in close proximity ,each others DNA could easily be on the knife, clothing etc, just passing a pile of clothing to one another could contaminate it. I don't think there was any solid evidence that would convince me she was guilty of murdering her.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 31/01/2014 22:21

they were found guilty twice by what is believe by many to be a corrupt justice system. the main evidence is a knife handle with her DNA on it and a bra clasp with his. there is more than one way this could have happened.

they were convicted, acquitted (after 4 YEARS in jail!) and now that has been overturned. dodgy as fuck.

I honestly don't know. The thing I can't get my head around is that whilst AK and RS obviously knew each other. There's no link between them and RG, the person who has confessed to the murder.

carabos · 31/01/2014 22:22

Having read a couple of books about the case, I think she and the boyfriend have more involvement than they admit, but I think they (the three "killers") were out of their trees on drugs and possibly don't remember what went on.

Whether AK and RS had a hand in the actual killing I'm not so sure.

LessMissAbs · 31/01/2014 22:23

No, I don't think so. There is a person in jail for it with a safe conviction. The evidence and line of argument in the original trial were worrying, the publicity circus distasteful, and neither of them strike me as murderers, accidental or otherwise.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 31/01/2014 22:23

why was this 10,000 pages of evidence not good enough the first time round? fucked up trial.

rainraingoAWAYNEVERCOMEBACK · 31/01/2014 22:24

I don't know, however the times when a killer has come on screen as an innocent and said they are innocent I have instinctively felt something was a miss and I have been right so far...and there is something about the expression on her face after, the kiss, even the cartwheel isn't on my radar..its that expression, it doesn't feel real as the expression of someone who has been in the vicinity of a vicious murder, let alone one of someone you knew and lived with..

you see faces of people who have just experienced shock and tragedy and you see it all over their faces..this isn't there with her.

VampyreofTimeandMemory · 31/01/2014 22:24

no there isn't katz but I do seem to recall the prosecution inventing a scenario in which they did all know each other Hmm
