I need to vent. Why does it seem the world and his wife has an opinion on your flippin buggy!!
I am looking to buy (from Gps as a present) 7 month old Dd a new buggy. I love the bugaboos but i just dont think i can afford a decent one so ive been looking at different styles for her.
No matter what i pick it seems to come under fire. So i thought sod it, im going with what WE like!!

WE like a Quinny Buzz 3, in black for £100. I think unpon research this is good?
Now ive just heard i will look chavvy, they are cheap and naff, common and nasty.
WELL im buying it arent i? Cant people just be nice and non judgey???

Please dont flame me for this because i do know peoples opinions get to me too much. Could you suggest a suitable response please? Also what you think of the Quinny!

Well, you could always tell people that you don't care what they think. ime that always works.

or you could not ask people their opinions and then if they give them anyway, you can say that you don't care what they think.

me, I couldn't tell one pushchair from another. I didn't give a shit what type it was when my kids were in them and I still don't give a shit now.

I particularly don't give a shit what other people choose to do with their money so I wouldn't judge you on your pushchair but I would think those who give a crap what other people choose to spend their money on - are arses.

I have never heard anyone judging about pushchairs, or what different ones represent. I get the pushchair I want because that's the one that I want, tough shit what some random person thinks, it isn't theirs.

Honestly? I never notice what other people are pushing. Apparently my friend has a bugaboo, I never spotted. They're just buggies! Who cares, so long as it works?

Have you pushed it? I only judge when I see tall people pushing because they have to stoop so low to reach the handles they look ridiculous. And it must ache!

If people have nowt better to do than comment or care on other people's pushchairs I'd suggest they a. need to to get more and b. should be grateful that's the the biggest thing they have to think about.

I never knew until I joined MN just brand-crazy people apparently get over pushchairs. It's like they are a status symbol or something! I don't give a moment's thought to anyone else's pushchair, and don't know anyone else who would either, so if it suits your purposes, get it.

It's just a thing that does a job, to me. You get the one that suits you, in terms of price and lifestyle. We bought a second hand Graco travel system when I was expecting DD, will be using it for DC2, and then it'll be given away or scrapped, depending on how much life is left in it. Yes it is chunky and heavy, but it is very sturdy and folds up quickly, with one hand. I didn't drive at the time, so those were the factors that were important to me.

Much prefer a Maclaren. Great build quality, great for older babies and toddlers, folds up light and small for the car boot, basket reasonable. I'd pick one over anything else hands down.

I have absolutely no idea if anyone thinks anything about me and my not so trendy Maclaren, and I wouldn't waste any time giving it the time of day if they did they should get a life

Some people do make assumptions based on what pram you use, just as they do the car you drive and the clothes on your back. Whether you let this bother you is within your control.
