I need to vent. Why does it seem the world and his wife has an opinion on your flippin buggy!!
I am looking to buy (from Gps as a present) 7 month old Dd a new buggy. I love the bugaboos but i just dont think i can afford a decent one so ive been looking at different styles for her.
No matter what i pick it seems to come under fire. So i thought sod it, im going with what WE like!!

WE like a Quinny Buzz 3, in black for £100. I think unpon research this is good?
Now ive just heard i will look chavvy, they are cheap and naff, common and nasty.
WELL im buying it arent i? Cant people just be nice and non judgey???

Please dont flame me for this because i do know peoples opinions get to me too much. Could you suggest a suitable response please? Also what you think of the Quinny!

AIBU to still even look at the Quinny?
or AIBU to give a shit on thoughts?

I get judged for not having a buggy. I've been told I shouldn't be a martyr (?) that slings are not good for my baby, that the baby needs space to lie down and should always lie flat, that I shouldn't carry her 'all squished up', that I need a buggy for long trips, that she should be in a buggy 'at her age'. That I need to get her used to a buggy or she won't go in one when she's older, that she'll be clingy due to my lack of buggy usage and (my favourite) that I will definitely need one when she gets bigger as she will get too heavy to carry. Oh, and that I'll break my back/my spine and so on and so on.

Schro that makes sense, I was guessing Swedish or Swiss just by the look of it; it just screams "safe" and "comfy" to me!

Shame it's discontinued, but I'm still going to have a gander online because I'm quite taken with it.

I got the double from Gumtree, very cheaply too.

That particular one is discontinued but the EmmalJunga Twin Nitro is still available and you can buy it in stores.

It is very safe and along with a huge foot brake it has a hand brake too! I doubt you could tip it if you tried but you can push it with 2 fingers as the suspension makes it so light (I have a disability and it's bloody easy for even me to push]]

Trying to find one cheap on gumtree is it will be the 4th one I've had in the last 2 years, mines a bit heavy with all the hills around here

Lost control and nearly took some poor bloke out the other day

Schro I think the Herqule is cooler than the EmmalJunga.

Showed them to DH who was uncharacteristically enthusiastic about a pram, but can't say I'm surprised Grin

That wayfarer looks perfect. Lightweight, folds flat, faces both ways, has carrycot. Why isn't there an equivalent on sale now? It's like they had to get more and more complicated to make us spend more and more

I'm going to buy a wayfarer

miaow it's typical, there's been a couple of girl ones on fb recently but most of them are boy/girl and they are really cheap!

Kiddicare have the baby weavers owl and pussy cat for £118 at the mo but it's a really light colour

Loving the Sugar and Spice pink buggy of shame :o I take my hat off to you. I'd take my shoes off too if it was trimmed with leopardskin print!

Am I being unreasonable to think that writing 'judgey' instead of adding the extra five characters to write judgemental is lazy and makes the author sound like an right ignorant thick t**t.

Yes, because shortening a word makes someone look like a right ignorant thick twat.

Btw, we can swear here. It makes you look like a hypocrite when you miss letters from words, while complaining about others missing letters from words. Hmm

I judge people who bring those huge mobile baby homes pushchairs onto public transport in rush hour.

Perhaps they need those massive pushchairs and don't have any other mode of transport...

For all the pushchair enthusiasts on here, someone has just offered to swap my Quinny Buzz 3 for a Bugaboo...

Should I?

Report
Pobblewhohasnotoes · 11/05/2013 10:21

Which Bugaboo?

I own a Bug, so may be biased in saying yes. Grin
