to not understand or find 'drunk' threads funny?

I really don't understand drunk threads....

When I've been out drinking and I get home I either go straight to bed (without taking my make-up off eww) or chuck a pint of water and then go to bed.

I have no effort to do anything, but crash out in bed.

I have to gather the will power to brush my teeth nevermind switching on my laptop and starting a thread. As it really is the furthest thing from my mind.

Also I do realise that people use their phones to start threads. But when I'm out having fun with friends or my partner drinking, thats generally exactly what I'm doing. I don't think - hang on a second and whip my phone out and start a thread on mumsnet.

And I just don't find posts such as -

weifjwp uwrh fvh i ma soooooo durnk!!! wefpwehf

Funny.

I smoke to much when I'm pissed. I did my dads head in last night going out for cigs.

He was pissed though. Hes a dancing drunk. Dances even if no music

SayMama · 01/01/2013 16:17

Hahaha ' you don't understand the nastiness ' erm okaaaay then.

Oh God I'm sorry. I didn't realise it was a thread about a specific thread. Just seen it in Chat. I apologise, I see the irony now Sad

ScarlettBelle · 01/01/2013 16:22

SayMama it wasn't about a specific thread though.

I think some users thought I was talking about 'The Drunk Thread'

When I was talking about general drunk threads. It wasn't targeted at anyone.

Ohhhhhh everlong, you sweet-talking temptress. White bread butties, thick cheap butter and oven chips. Smashed together with mayonnaise or ketchup

Apologies for my dribble Blush

Pinot · 01/01/2013 16:31

Tried it with bbq sauce once. No.

Pagwatch · 01/01/2013 16:40

Dh got me a machine to make cappuccino. And syrups. Rows of syrups.
I will gain as fast as you lose folks

Just hand me your bobbly bits. It will save time in the long run.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 01/01/2013 16:42

Ohh... sounds very nice, Pagwatch. Do you like skimmed milk? I can't taste the difference between that and full-fat but it saves a heap of calories.

Pagwatch · 01/01/2013 16:46

I will have to try it Lying. I have soya milk sometimes because too much ordinary milk makes me spotty. And gnormous.
He gave me the gift of spotty and gnormous.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 01/01/2013 16:49

You might like it. You have delicious syrups to liven it up. Also - I can definitely recommend hazelnut milk, that's naturally low-cal/low-fat. It's nice on it's own too. Almond milk, not so much, but hazelnut is lovely.

I have visions of you setting up as a very exclusive barrista...

Pagwatch · 01/01/2013 16:52

Oh thanks! What a good idea. I'll try the hazelnut milk.

I could do a really wanky class coffee morning couldn't I ? Grin

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 01/01/2013 17:00

You could, Pagwatch... and make a blog and a youtube thingie and have a lovely Cath Kidston apron to show off your uber-gorgeousness and svelteness. Grin

A very nice present to have, is your husband hoping you'll test your recipes out on him?

Pagwatch · 01/01/2013 17:11

Hahahahaha Grin

Nah , he drinks tea. He's just a good egg.

LyingWitchInTheWardrobe2726 · 01/01/2013 17:41

He is... Grin

I make horrible tea... it's so bad. My husband can just whilstle up a perfect cup of tea in seconds... I'm so painstaking and it's completely undrinkable.

You go and rock your new machine, Pag, post the recipes!

TheHoneyDragonsDrunkInTheIvy · 01/01/2013 17:58

Let's face it. All coffee mornings are a bit wanky. At least if you serve wanky coffee you are embracing the wankiness in a rather pleasant fashion.

Pagwatch · 01/01/2013 18:03

Embrace the Wankiness.

That's my new years resolution sorted, Honey.
