to not understand or find 'drunk' threads funny?

I really don't understand drunk threads....

When I've been out drinking and I get home I either go straight to bed (without taking my make-up off eww) or chuck a pint of water and then go to bed.

I have no effort to do anything, but crash out in bed.

I have to gather the will power to brush my teeth nevermind switching on my laptop and starting a thread. As it really is the furthest thing from my mind.

Also I do realise that people use their phones to start threads. But when I'm out having fun with friends or my partner drinking, thats generally exactly what I'm doing. I don't think - hang on a second and whip my phone out and start a thread on mumsnet.

And I just don't find posts such as -

weifjwp uwrh fvh i ma soooooo durnk!!! wefpwehf

Hi sorry just caught up with this.

I don't mean The Drunk Thread I mean drunk threads in general. If you have a few glasses of wine and come home a little tipsy and decide to post on MN then fine.

I just don't understand posts where the person cannot even put a sentence together like -

I just don't get it.

If people want a few glasses of wine and a chat on here then go for it. I have no problem with 'The Drunk Thread'.

I'm not paranoid either . Just pointing out I'm a pleasant re-addition to MN .

I don't drink, used to and back in the day and before my wheels completely fell off, had the constitution of a killer whale, but often lurk around the drunk thread, I love it, love happy giddy tipsy people, but when it all gets sad and despairing I suppose it reminds me of dark places where I used to be, the real drunk thread never gets sad.

So Usual please don't stop with your thread, it's sometimes my virtual drunk Friday night, the fun without the effects! Sound like a right old bloody saddo.

If you don't get it, then don't read it. It really is that simple.

If you're at the point where you can no longer spell a single word right then I find it odd that it would go through someones mind to post on MN.

Which is why I said, if you don't get it, don't read it.

Some people come here to chat, whether it be on the drunk thread itself, or on their own drunk thread. It is obviously not what you would do, but we all do things differently - it's one of the things that makes MN as good as it is.

I'm fat at the moment, and unable to drink. I'm also as grumpy as fuck and found myself wanting to shout get out get out at my bump last night, Rachael off friends style.

I sent dh a text yesterday that looked like a drunk thread but that was because I didn't have my glasses.

That's old age right there. Not posting badly because I have my knickers around my ankles or because I am pissed but I am too blind too type and too old to remember where I left my bloody glasses.
