In Brighton yesterday, lots of flesh and tattoos on display. Aibu to think they can be artful but never make person look more classy sadly?

I doubt anyone ever got a tattoo in order to appear more classy. They're more about personal expression, not conforming to class norms.

I don't think anyone views tattoos as classy.

Who has ever said to you "I got this tattoo because I wanted to look more classy?" No one. People don't get them to look classy. I dislike them myself but your post is barely literate, makes little sense and makes you look a bit silly.

Why on earth would I want to be classy? Of all the things I've ever wanted to be in life, it is not one!

I have a tat and I'm very classy! i wear classic styles that don't date, I'm very feminine. I doubt my tat makes a huge difference to who I am or how I'm perceived. I'm a ladeeeeeee!

Out of interest, what sort of bodily addition do you think does add "class" to a person? A twinset and pearls? Court shoes? Having your eyebrows threaded?

I think class is more about how a person acts than whether they have body art or what they're wearing.

There are some tattoos that just look cheap & horrid imho, a lot of footballing ones particularly, as seen on a guy's skinny and pasty leg complete with the long baggy shorts, and am not keen on names, especially daft people, like the girl who served me yesterday, who had a bf's name tattooed on her neck who she no longer is with. However, if it's on a fine looking body it can look attractive but it really depends on the quality, size and placement of the tattoo. Have seen more get it wrong than right.

I know of someone who got two black lines tattoed up the back of her legs, which end in cheeky little tattooed bows.

Now, I am squeamish and a pisstaker and think they're kinda ridiculous, but no doubt she always has her seams straight, so perhaps that is classy?

Tattooed seams sound awesome. I have an inked friend who would love them.

I have tattoos. None of which are classy. Some are pretty. Some are in places a few men find sexy. I don't care if people don't like them. I like every single one. That's all that matters.
