I loathe the summer especially when it's hot.

I hate been sweaty,
I hate BBQ's,
I hate the neighbours who are at this moment blasting Rhianna (sp?) while getting pissed

DP says im a miserable cow and i should be loving it, surely im not the only person like this or AIBU?

I'm with you. I'm a winter body, I like snuggling and slankets and chilli.

I love sunny days, but rainy stormy afternoons and nights. That way people stay indoors Grin

SillyBeardyDaddyman · 24/05/2012 19:39

I'm so pissed off with the weather that I'm wearing shorts and drinking a cold lager in protest! And after dinner I might even have an ice cream, that's how furious I am!

Sparklingbrook · 24/05/2012 19:40

I hate it too. I hate being sweaty and feeling I have to put dresses on. Sad

I love hanging the washing out though,

JoannaFight · 24/05/2012 19:40

I love this weather but your neighbours sound annoying.

treefumaster · 24/05/2012 19:40

I was just going to start a thread to say this very thing. I have been in a foul mood all day and the children are really annoying me. It makes my eyes squinty, my head hurt and my feet immediately sprout blisters.

I also hate neighbours playing the radio in the garden (when did that become ok? I did not agree to that memo) and being stuck next to the reckoner in a flash white mercedes blasting out something hideous while we were all stuck in traffic and drowning out my far superior Philadelphia Freedom

GwendolineMaryLacey · 24/05/2012 19:40

Nope hate it too. And I have two ridiculously fair skinned children that I'm paranoid about getting burnt like I did

Sparklingbrook · 24/05/2012 19:41

Plus why does everyone have to go out half dressed just because it's summer? Topless men everywhere, who should really put it away.

fishface2 · 24/05/2012 19:41

Yabvu! Went for a few beers after work in a pub garden - lovely

SparklyVampire · 24/05/2012 19:42

sparklingbrook i love been able to hang out my washing too, it's the only plus Grin

Yanbu to hate your neighbours blasting Rhianna.
YABU re the weather. You are in the Uk, it is not that hot, and it won't last!

Bunbaker · 24/05/2012 19:45

Yes, YABVVVVVVVU.

I have spent the last few weeks being cold and miserable, and oh joy, the sun and warmth have appeared at last.
Stop being such a misery, open the windows, close the curtains, put the fan on, change your anti perspirant, drink a cold drink and wear suitable clothing. It isn't the weather that is wrong it is the way we deal with it that is wrong.

And stop spoiling it for the rest of us, although I agree that your neighbours sound annoying.

Chubfuddler · 24/05/2012 19:46

I love it apart from (and this is a huge apart from) how fecking long it takes to settle the children down for bed. Go the fuck to sleep.

McKayz · 24/05/2012 19:46

YANBU!!

I am 36 weeks and I am sick of the heat!! I would like to go away!!!

But come back after baby arrives

SauvignonBlanche · 24/05/2012 19:48

I have to wear a thick polyester uniform on a hot hospital ward so I'm not enjoying it during the day.
Now I'm at home, in a tshirt with an ice cube in my wine, I'm enjoying it a lot.

I agree, OP! Why can't we have a little bit of moderation?! I adore the sunshine but this heat is too much for me. I was observed teaching yesterday afternoon and my poor class were flobbing all over the tables, puffed out and knackered. Not my finest lesson!

This weather is only acceptable when I have a good excuse to sit and drink cold lager in a beer garden...

snoopyplaystennis · 24/05/2012 19:51

YANBU, I hate heat unless I am immersed in a swimming pool with nothing to do. I love sunny, bright days but not high temperatures. Spring days around 70 degrees are perfect.

I hate that you are not allowed to hate heat but it is acceptable to hate the winter. Different folks, different heat strokes

Moodykat · 24/05/2012 19:52

I have a 10 month old that is now able to crawl about in just a nappy. And I love seeing babies like that so YABU!

perplexedpirate · 24/05/2012 19:54

I'm a winter girl. I like boots and gloves and hats and scarves and big coats and coming in to a warm house when it's cold outside.
Can't be doing with being all hot and sticky. And Summer clothes look stupid on me. Sad

Vondo · 24/05/2012 19:57

I love this weather. People are generally happier when the sun is out. I love hearing the kids playing and I love getting my washing out. I feel as if in Scotland we get 50 weeks of dull horrible weather!

AllYoursBabooshka · 24/05/2012 19:57

Well normally I would have agreed but I have decided to embrace it.

If it's still like this tomorrow the swimming pool is coming out and cocktails are bring mixed!

hazeyjane · 24/05/2012 19:58

Yanbu

I hate that if I say I don't like the hot weather I'm just a misery guts, wheras people are allowed to moan on about Winter and rainy days.

I don't have any energy in this weather, I have low blood pressure, and this weather makes me feel lightheaded and faint.

Poor dh works outdoors and hates the heat as much as me.

Sparklingbrook · 24/05/2012 20:02

I only walked down the road and my face went all sweaty and started leaking. Sad There I was dabbing myself with a tissue as the Olympic torch went by.
