Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, teaandcake, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Each thread can only take 1,000 posts and then a new thread is created. This is thread number 7. Numbers 1 to 6 are all in AIBU. If you want to read them

I've just climbed into bed but I hope Rowan can look again tomorrow and perhaps we can choose a better location if someone doesn't want it in AIBU anymore and that they'll move all old threads too. But threads in chat are deleted after 90 days so a rubbish place for ours IMO as each thread can last 4 - 5 months

The nobdie threads Dozy are lovely for meeting new people. As are we

Tea that was v. brave of you to do. How did it go? How are you feeling about having spoken to her about it directly?

I agree that it would be nice if the thread could stay in AIBU or at least somewhere that it will not be deleted.

Dozy this thread started as "Just to Say" if you're looking for it, it was a friendly place for a bit of support and fun chat and I believe a moan about not having mn friends - rather than an AIBU flaming! I also remember Tiredmum and Junglist at the beginning of the first thread, and most who you'll see here now came along shortly thereafter. Have a seat at the bench, we are a lovely bunch .

I can't find it, Dozy! Sorry about that, I don't know where the original has gone. :( There have been at least a couple years since then, all the rest were called the OFFICIAL Buddy Bench like this one.

I think you're right about someone reporting it Tiredmum. Can't imagine why though, we're a friendly lot!

MNHQ Please could you tell us why this thread has been put into CHAT ?

We are all baffled as to why all of a sudden it has been moved out of AIBU .

Very sorry to have created a commotion about this; I must admit I didn't realise that the Buddy Bench threads are actually about AIBU! But, as you probably all know, we are trying to get non-AIBU threads out of AIBU, because our hundreds of other lovely topics can get a bit neglected if everyone posts in AIBU whether it's actually an AIBU question or not.

I'm not on site duty today, but I've asked the person who is on duty to see if she can think of a better solution.

We've moved this thread back into AIBU, but in doing so, we've had to change the title to include 'AIBU', just to avoid confusion.

Can we ask ever so nicely for you to include 'AIBU' in future thread titles, saves us making the same mistake twice!

YAY, we're back where we belong! :)

I have the flu. :( Any pity thrown my way is welcome. It's only 8:30 am and I'm not even going to work and I've already had a day. DH knew I was sick but of course he couldn't think to get DS' school things ready last night, so he was racing around this morning all aggrieved and I was trying to help and not throw up at the same time. And he didn't get up in time, so was really late. I swear I am going to get a T-shirt that says Everything In The Universe Is Not Automatically My Job and wear it around. So poor DS went off to school with no hat for outside time and no breakfast save a banana in the car. I feel A Talk coming up in our house.

DS has started waking up a lot too Jammy, and I don't know what to do either. I have tried telling him that even if he wakes up this does not automatically mean he needs to wake the entire house, but he hasn't caught on. I do put him back to bed with no nonsense but it's just horrible to have such fractured sleep, isn't it?

Good shirt though Cheerful, I'd like one too please!? Funny how when men are ill, The.World.Stops. and they are totally non-functional, but when we are ill they're all put-upon just to keep up the basics as we try to cope .
