The OFFICIAL AIBU buddy bench/naughty bench thread NO 7

ElmoFan · 08/01/2012 16:44

Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tiredmum, teaandcake, valiumredhead and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

GoMummy said on e-mail she wasn't going to be on here for a while Cheerful.

I think this thread is pretty much redundant now isn't it? Sad

I think for DD we'll have a few of her favourite girls over and go to the local park/ paddling pool and they can have fun and have a princess picnic with tiaras. Cannot stretch to a big party.

valiumredhead · 14/06/2012 15:45

We did lots of parties in the park when ds was little - no crumbs to worry about Wink

Is go ok? CAn someone PM me if it is something major? x

CheerfulYank · 14/06/2012 18:50

I refuse to believe it's redundant. :o Even if it's just me here twirling around and talking to myself, I'll keep at it! We always kind of ease off in the summer IRRC.

Princess party sounds fun! She will love that.

DS has his heart set on going to the trampoline place, and it will be great but the management is proving to be very hard to work with.

ElmoFan · 14/06/2012 21:00

I'll twirl along side ya cheerful Grin x

Well my excuse is my son is treating me like his personal TAXI grrrrrrrrr Wink
dd gets her summer hols in 2 weeks so i'll have more time to go on mn then :)

So has anyone got any holidays planned ?
It's my dads 70th birthday at the end of this month so we are all taking him & my mum away to a 5* hotel & spa for a few days (17 of us going) Can not wait for it .

Trampoline party sounds fab cheerful , just think of how tired out ds will be after that Grin

That sounds nice elmo!

We aren't going away until Sept as dh has to work through the bastard olympics, it's going to be a looooooooong summer, so am booking ds into lots of holiday sports camps.

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 17/06/2012 08:33

No holiday this year. ExH isn't working full time and money is tight Sad So I'm getting very little off him at the moment, until he finds another full time job!

CheerfulYank · 17/06/2012 18:03

We never do much in the way of holidays...maybe someday!

Our trip to Michigan was lovely though, and we're going to go stay in my grandmother's cabin over the fourth of July, which will be lots of fun. :)

Raining here today...and we were supposed to go on a Father's Day picnic. Oh well, hopefully it will pass.

valiumredhead · 17/06/2012 18:31

Not rained her today - a miracle!

Ds has been a holy terror, I am pulling my hair out arghhhhhhhhhhhh! And breathe......

CheerfulYank · 17/06/2012 22:54

Mine too! We were just in the car and he was making this atrocious whistling noise with a bottle top. And I asked him to stop and he grinned at me and continued...I took it and threw it out the window. Blush

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 07:54

Yanky I would've done the same! Dear God, ds has woken up in the same bad mood! I am trying to ignore...

ElmoFan · 18/06/2012 16:10

ooooooh Sending you both Calming vibes Wink lol and if that doesn't work then Brew or something a little stronger Grin

My ds is away for a few days with my parents , so it's just dh , me & dd at home until ds comes back tomorrow . So the house has been eerily quiet without the dc fighting .

It's raining here today

Hows everyone ?

Do you not think off the beaten track is better as tbh nobody posts but us and if it wasn't in AIBU I'd probably share far more on how I felt and chat more but obviously there are lots of lurkers and I do not want the world and his wife to see the nitty gritty of my life Blush

I know that's not the original spirit of this thread but we are a quiche aren't we? Although a welcoming quiche of course...

DontstepontheMomeRaths · 18/06/2012 16:20

I've chucked one in off the beaten track and you can all ignore me if you don't agree, we've all known each other long enough now Grin

valiumredhead · 18/06/2012 16:20

Yep, OTBT is better for me :)

ElmoFan · 18/06/2012 16:21

Sounds good to me :) I must admit there's been loads of things i would have loved to chat to you all about over the last few months that i haven't because I'm very aware of being on a huge forum etc .
So it's a YES vote from me :) x
