Because if she has been I would like to know why.

OP posts:
clam · 07/11/2011 23:42

aitch
i have a friend who used this site occasionally... she ventured into the Doghouse to ask about a puppy her mother was adopting... and was torn apart by dbf et al for Not Doing It Properly. she will never come onto MN again. which is a shame as she's a great person and you would all have liked her very much.

And this ispossibly quite relevant! Wink

LadyEvenstarsCoven · 07/11/2011 23:43

ILT, as usual it seems.

mofo, why are you unable to share?

NoJusticeJustUs · 07/11/2011 23:43

DBF actually helped save my dog, she was kind, practical and knowledgable, I love her posts across the board although I dont always agree with her !

But what really makes me cross is that I have actually got so het up about her ban that I have posted.

I am a lurker dammit, dont make me post again or there will be hell to pay !

FUCK! Shock I can 'prove' the aliens story... but it's a bit below the belt, isn't it?

ItsonlymeMrsDB · 07/11/2011 23:45

I think this thread is quite inappropriate now, as one poster is able to see and respond, and another isn't.

JustineMumsnet · 07/11/2011 23:45

@AnyFucker

bibbity WWIFN was not banned, she left of her own accord

justine it was just a thought, but strange that the last thread was deleted which covered much of the same ground and didn't have weirdo's barging in to give grief to posters who have had fuck-all to do with any of this

Did it? Wasn't on it, so can't comment. But think the team were probably following the not commenting on procedure protocol but clearly we're way beyond that here. (It's not that we try to be inconsistent you know Smile)

AitchTwoOh · 07/11/2011 23:45

FUCK! I can 'prove' the aliens story... but it's a bit below the belt, isn't it?

Prove that when I was young and foolish and making misakes in life i said a few things to gain financially?

I am happy to volunteer that information myself.

simpson · 07/11/2011 23:47

onlymemrsDB - totally agree and out of order tbh

LucyStone · 07/11/2011 23:48

Justine, surely you see the abuse the feminists get? thank you for reinforcing the negative stereotype that so many posters who don't frequent feminism hold. I had to name change recently, abandoning a much loved name, because some posters insisted on using my posting history against me. I went into feminism not having a clue about the topic. the women in there not only helped me through a lot of issues, but they've put up with some more misogynistic posts from me in my earlier days. never did i feel bullied. the rare anger is saved for those who genuinely set out to cause upset. but thank you for insulting not only me, but also the majority of the feminism and dog house threads... thank you. it's not the first time it's happened, either.

CaptainNancy · 07/11/2011 23:48

Well- TLES- I have the most weirdest story about that actually...

beyond spooky- do you want to hear? (there's nothing nasty in it, and certainly not about you!)

SarahStratton · 07/11/2011 23:49

Can I be a mild maverick please?

Or at least Milk Monitor next week. Grin

MildlyNarkyPuffin · 07/11/2011 23:49

Out of interest how would anyone else respond when more than one experienced (dog) rescuer says it's not a good idea to take in a staffie possible pitbull cross young dog that's already been rehomed twice in less than a year and hasn't been assessed around children (when your child has SN); into a flat that's on the 2nd/3rd floor in an area where dogs are stolen for fighting? And that a rescue centre would be better placed to take in the dog and find it a suitable home? And that they would personally use their rescue contacts to help you find a dog that is a good match for your lifestyle.

And how do you think the rescuers might respond when the person does it anyway and then posts a few weeks later that they're afraid the dog will be stolen by those involved with dog fighting and they're passing the dog on to yet another person, again avoiding rescue centres that would homecheck and provide support to the new owner if they had to give the dog up.

I would have exploded. They didn't. They did get blunt.

LineRunnerSaturnaliaCometh · 07/11/2011 23:49

Justine

Thank you for your reply.

On the other related matter, I am more of a wild, martyred maverick as opposed to a simple mild maverick, so not for you.

Justine seems to be saying that the feminism regulars have only ourselves to blame when men's rights activists turn up with their vile agenda. We "attract" them with our dogmatic views, apparently.

There's been a lot of debate in the media this week about the misogynist abuse women (not necessarily feminists) get when they have the temerity to publish opinions. But I guess they're all bringing it on themselves eh? If only they'd learn not to be so dogmatic, they wouldn't have these problems, right?
