we live a ten minute walk from school. there are few busy roads on way. also some drug addicts/drinkers hanging on corners etc. do u think a husband and wife should talk about whether or not their young (both under 10) kids should be walked or driven to school? or should one parent make the decision and not offer the other one any consultation reasons and behind it?

Oh, I get it! It's really one of those lateral thinking puzzles, so we're supposed to use our best logical reasoning skills. Is the answer that the couple doesn't really have any children?

I don't understand why the OP is upset. If they are doing the journey is their other half insisting that they do it another way. Or are they not doing the journey and insisting that their other half should do it the way that the OP thinks they should.

lol at pozzled! I think the answer is that actually they are the drug addicts stood on the corner, and are, obviously, angry that they can't harm the children, as the parents are there! not sure that makes sense, but then neither does much of this thread
