I sometimes add little snippets about myself and my life if I think they are genuinely interesting (it doesn't happen very often) but honestly after a day of being me, the last thing I want to do is write about it and inflict it on other people. I much prefer writing about dashing French Revolutionary ladies, Georgette Heyer, Marie Antoinette and Victorian prostitutes.

I don't read many parenting blogs to be honest - I much prefer blogs about books, art, cookery and people living in different countries. I've got an immense hard on for photo a day blogs about foreign cities - some of them are fascinating and so beautifully photographed.

The worst ever has to be Kelle Hampton. So smug! So twee! So gushing.

I think kelle hamptons photgraphy on her blog is so beautiful. she can make something so ordinary look amazing. The photos of her little girl with downs syndrome are simply breathtaking.

Thank you for starting this thread, without which I would not have met Beyonce the chicken. I love it.

I quite like Kelle, and she linked to a great jewellery maker, so will keep an eye on her blog

I agree that Kelle's photos are lovely but the blog itself if just so so narcissistic I just couldn't warm to her as a person. I think she would be supremely irritating in RL.

I mean 'Nella's Birth Day' - who gives birth and has perfect hair and makeup with photographer friends in attendance to take flattering low light photos of the happy event? [hair and makeup artists too methinks] And then posts them on a blog?

The photos were very nice but felt as if they were more to satisfy the egotism of this woman rather than intimate keepsakes of a special moment in her family's life.

That said, she does write quite nicely about her feelings of discovering her baby had DS...

So I am sort of on the fence with this but still a bit sneery.

However the 5 foot chicken blog was AWESOME!

I often wonder what Kelle's children will feel about having their photographs plastered all over the web when they're older.

Most blogs and bloggers are full of self important self promoting and not very subtle egocentric shit.

I have a few blogs i read mostly i skip over the personal bits (what they did that say etc) to get to recipes or useful stuff.
I have a blog but i dont really write anything I use it to put craft patterns i have made up on so its just.... pattern.... end post, i never have anything interesting to say other than that.
