squeakytoy · 24/02/2011 18:37

once every six months.. whether it needs it or not Grin

pjmama · 24/02/2011 18:38

Not as often as I should! Blush

I just can't face wrestling a king size duvet into its cover.

dairyleadunker · 24/02/2011 18:39

Thank you squeakytoy

ALL THE TIME! DD is EBF and dribbles (and spits up) in bed. If I have to wash my quilt twice in a day again I will scream.

gilbonzothesecretpsychoduck · 24/02/2011 18:39

Once every 6 months?? Have you not thought of the environment and the harm all that frequent washing does?? I turn the sheets over and the duvet covers inside out every 6 months and wash once a year. It's a nice Christmas treat to have new sheets Grin

Seona1973 · 24/02/2011 18:39

I'm sure there are a couple of recent big threads about the same subject and it ranges from changing daily to several months between changes

tulpe · 24/02/2011 18:39

This topic was an item on the radio recently. I was absolutely gobsmacked at the percentage of people who change their sheets once a month or less (can't remember exact figure but........bleurgh!)

Once a week for us and DCs.

WillieWaggledagger · 24/02/2011 18:40

every week or 1.5 weeks

freshmint · 24/02/2011 18:41

hahaha 6 months. why change them then? surely they can't get dirtier?!!

weekly

towels twice a week

nikki1978 · 24/02/2011 18:43

Every two weeks here. Seem ok to me! I think a few germs are good for the immune system Grin

dairyleadunker · 24/02/2011 18:45

think my washer /dryer is going to explode with EBF 4 month old (who has never slept in moses basket for whole night yet) and 4yr old who has decided it takes too long to go to the toilet in the middle of the night .. and a sweaty builder dh.

Oh well I will wash less and think of the environment - have one bed smelling of sick/boob milk and sweat and the other of wee :)

OP posts:
pinkthechaffinch · 24/02/2011 18:45

every 2 weeks here too, but in summer sometimes once a week, if they're getting a bit whiffy due to Dh's sweat Grin

I'm pretty sure my cleaner does it every week.

pinkstinks · 24/02/2011 18:46

Every two weeks. I do the late shift til 4am every other friday night, i have to literally put my head inside the oven to clean it etc, so come home exhausted straight to bed and wash them the next morning :)

Snappedwife · 24/02/2011 18:47

Twice a week at the moment Sad

Night time sweats. yuk!

MrsPresley · 24/02/2011 18:47

Ideally once a fortnight but sometimes it's longer especially in the winter.

Seona1973 · 24/02/2011 18:47

heres one www.mumsnet.com/Talk/good_housekeeping/1147081-Changing-Bedding

duchesse · 24/02/2011 18:47

Once a week for anyone over 14, every two weeks for younger people.

dairyleadunker · 24/02/2011 18:50

agedknees · 24/02/2011 18:52

Once a week in winter, twice a week in summer.

foreverondiet · 24/02/2011 18:55

Roughly every 2 weeks.

6 months Shock I hope that's a joke as if not its minging.

NinkyNonker · 24/02/2011 18:55

Once a week on the whole, sometimes more regularly as we now have a tumble dryer!

GreenEyesandHam · 24/02/2011 18:59

Every Sunday, whilst listening to Something For The Weekend in the background

That's how predictable my life has become
