Once a week.

lazylula · 24/02/2011 19:02

It tends to be once a fortnight in the winter and weekly in the summer.

cocoachannel · 24/02/2011 19:03

Sheet and pillow cases weekly; duvet cover fortnightly.

smokinaces · 24/02/2011 19:03

I wash a set every weekend - so mine one weekend, the DSs the following so we all get clean sheets every fortnight.

However, in the summer this changes to more like every 7-10 days due to the heat.

ifancyashandy · 24/02/2011 19:04

That MN'er who is bonkers (Grin) going to put all slatterns to shame will be along in a tick. She changes all beds in her gaff EVERY DAY!

Respect!

EcoHappyHelen · 24/02/2011 19:09

Heavy winter 630 thread count King Size bedlinen ... erm - did it three weeks before Xmas, and still not done it again. It doesn't smell, I don't have a tumble dryer (won't give one houseroom), and it's hardly drying weather out there at the moment.

I do the kids every two weeks when they're at their dad's. Theirs DOES need doing.

Then, we only bath/shower only once a week. Waste of electricity and water to do it more often. Might I add that my kids only get two colds a year if that?

ifancyashandy · 24/02/2011 19:14

Eco, you bathe once a week only?!

Serious question - how do you stop being wiffy?

rocketleaf · 24/02/2011 19:14

Oh dear, every 3-4 weeks Blush but we shower before bed so i work on the assumption they get less dirty. Don't have kids yet but I expect that to get a LOT more frequent when this one arrives.

BartySlartfast · 24/02/2011 19:16

hang on I will look back to my answers in the previous 2 threads on this subject

MrsDaffodill · 24/02/2011 19:17

Aim for once a week, realistically it sometimes turn into once a fortnight.

GreenEyesandHam · 24/02/2011 19:17

:o

chandellina · 24/02/2011 19:34

once a week. sometimes the duvet goes two weeks but i change the sheet and pillow cases.

upyourdiva · 24/02/2011 19:36

Once a week maximum and once ever fortnight minimum.

Although obviously if DS has an accident I would change.

lionlilac · 24/02/2011 20:04

Once a week - but wish they needed changing more!Sad

woodleydoodle · 24/02/2011 23:45

Once a week, although tbh, I think It'd be nicer more often. Washer/dryer been on the blink for a couple of months so washing isn't as regular as I'd like. x

woodleydoodle · 24/02/2011 23:49

Just looked back up the thread. I feel clean! I think my perceptions of cleanliness are skewed by my mum. My house tends to be a bit tidier. However, hers is always cleaner. Skirting boards, sauce bottles, inside of fridge etc... x

mumeeee · 24/02/2011 23:50

About once a month. But keep meaning to start doing it more often,

smokingnuns · 25/02/2011 00:29

Once a week, towels too. Least favourite job it has to be said, duvet covers are such a struggle. I don't iron sheets/duvet covers, though all our bedding is cotton - except pillow cases, always.

I'm not a daily showerer either eco, I'm not a farmer so don't need to. Plus all that faff is too much, hate all that messing about. I wash every day - important bits. Though def shower every day in the summer - no faffing around getting dry.

scottishmummy · 25/02/2011 00:36

1Xweek and more if any wee accidents

tallpoppies · 25/02/2011 00:42

Bedding? Why bother! Just get sleeping bags - they are really good at absorbing sweat!

scottishmummy · 25/02/2011 00:44

would still need a wash?hardly wet it & forget it?

lesley33 · 25/02/2011 08:56

Once every 2 weeks, occasionally once every 3 weeks.

I have a friend who only changes their bedding abot twicea year. Last time she left it 8 months before changing it! Her and her DH boast about it and she is a primary school teacher.

bupcakesandcunting · 25/02/2011 09:20

Every leap year or so.

Missile · 25/02/2011 09:24

every 2 weeks, because we all bathe every night before bed....
