I have a dog called Atticus.

My cats were called Fidel and Che. The HM at the school I worked at was mad about cats so she asked my what they were called. When I told her she literally took two steps backwards. I thought she was going to gather the children to her breast to protect them from me!

I have had cats called Vermin, Edie, Slartybartfast, Precious, Ishmail and Augustus.

My first and bestest dog in the world was called Giro.

we have a lizard called "you little fucker"

she didn't have a name but every time we picked her up she would either nip or run up our sleeves and we would shout "oh you litle fucker"

it just kinda stuck.

she has a name tag on her viv now and everything

we shorten it to fucker though, and only use her full name is she's in trouble

My cats are moulder and scully.... the cats are out there!

Oh and the Hamster is called Lady poops a lot!

Our cat is Iggy after Iggy Pop as they both like to get their willy out and make a lot of noise.

We have no pets, my mother's dogs are

1 x Westie, Ruby
1 x Westie, Millie
1 x Alsation/Pointer, Twix (rescue dog originally called Trish-which is tragic).

My pet lambs when I was little were called Chops and Sauce ( as in mint)

DH's cats when I met him were Trousers and Carruthers

Our current cat is Chairman Mao, the last one Genghis Kat

When I was small my hamster was called Pork Chop.

Goldfish called batter. When I was a kid I had a dwarf rabbit called snuffeluffagus (the massive mammoth thing from sesame street!) it was tiny! And bimbo and miffyspliffy (hmmm) the cats!

Our cat - rescue moggy, by no means special breeding of any sort - is called Edward Gray-Catt at the vet, but Ted to us! He is grey, neither of our surnames are Gray or Catt. Vet has a sense of humour!

2 x cats - Billy and Foxy

3 x Guinea Pigs - Pipsqueek, peanut and punky

but I DID have a joint hamster - me and my flat mate - we where both 28 and fed up of the badgering by our mothers to be having the baybeez - so we got the hamster and called it Substitute - which I thought was apt

my mother even carried his picture in her purse to show her mates when they pulled the grandkids snaps out

I have always named my tortoises with names starting with T - Tolly, Timmy, Toby :)

I have two cats called april and Alexander. Named by my then 4 year old - no idea why.

When i was a child i had a hamster called Hubble then one called hiccup. They lived together for a brief period until Hubble mysteriously seemed to break his back or something in those damed tubes they have in the hamster houses. i just woke up one morning and he was just all twisted in his tube it was horrific - i seem to have strayed from the point of the post.

My sister has a cat called Nigel.

DD1's rabbit was inherited from a friend (a boy), and arrived with the name Ashdon (after a West Ham footballer, apparently).

DD1 felt this wasn't a good name for a rabbit, so the poor critter was re-christened......Destiny.

Pranma, I was going to call our cat Kedi but the girls chose Simba instead.

CointreauVersial - I had a burmese cat called Nigel too - was very funny when calling him in of an evening.
