As a white "indiginous" Brit, i would like to answer this - i would like those with differing religeons to mine, coming into my local community, to tell us what they would like US to do to make them feel more welcome. I want people to talk to each other, openly without fear or suspicion and i can't understand why that is too much to ask. I'm listening......

The point is the majority of MPs and locals seem to want to make "communities work together". Realistically that'll never work. dobie, sadly i have met many more racists than i care to recount. My mother has a rare medical condition that has turned her skin "black" i have had to defend her (As a teenage child) from PHYSICAL assault on account of the colour of her skin :(

Ladyofthemanor, there is fitting in and integrating, birds of a feather flock together. I think it is perfectly possible to work and live alongside one another with starkly different religeons and beliefs. Why can't people recognise that thre is more to gain from properly regulated immigration than to lose from it. We went the best doctors/scientists/engineers/teachers/nurses - we have fantastic own grown professionals we do. Some of them bugger off abroad to obtain a better lifestye (brain drain) We want to encourage the best to come here from overseas too. Its about exchange of information and skills.

Our country is falling apart, why can't we stand shoulder to shoulder to make it great again? Or would we rather gaurd it and keep it for ourselves even though doing that will result in it crumbling? Hey, at least or wasted Island with be OURS
