Multiculturalism has failed

Now whilst i believe the debate itself has merit ( though think that DC has put a rather disturbing anti islamic slant on it)
I do not think it the wisest day to do so given that there is a planned march by the English Defence League (think BNP with more hair) today

march in Luton

In that case "send them home".

I too am getting some shut eye... PHD lecture in the morning. Fun times.

See and don't take offence Lady, if we are talking honestly and I don't want to hurt your feelings but in my mind if you are not from Britain then you are not British and have no alligience to Britain and will not fully participate or really ever care or love anything to do with Britain at any level, other than what you choose, because it's not in your blood, it's not you, you are from another land and you will always love that land (in your heart) even if you won't admit it here!!

Does that make sense!! You will say I'm talking rubbish but I think you will understand what I mean!!

dobiegirl · 06/02/2011 22:30

Well that last post was a waste of time and effort!!! Wink

Erm dobie that was pretty full on.

It's not actually given that people will automatically have an allegiance to their home country.

Depends on person. Depends on country and depends on why they left.

My dm is not white - she's from asia but way of africa. She had a british passport from birth and always felt that britain would be her homeland - and it is although with the world getting bigger she does lust a bit after her ethnic homeland (but in a romantic way and it's still a foreign country to her).

I even long for her homeland - but just for a huge shopping visit!

Night night everyone.

dobiegirl · 06/02/2011 23:18

Yeah well good for you giveitago, of course you long for her homeland, and of course she does too, it is romantic, what is wrong with that?? What is wrong with anyone loving or even lusting after thier home land???

I think, even those persecuted by people in thier homelands still long for thier homeland - does that make sense? And why does everyone seem to tell me if they are white or not? I don't care?

Does anyone see colour anymore? You could be purple with green spots to be honest but the fact is if you love Britain I think you should be made welcome with open arms, not just open arms but a big kiss and a hug too,

However if you don't like Britain, if you don't like what she represents, if freedom of speech and equality and harmony bother you then don't settle here. We are one of the most tolerant cultures in the world, we are, don't believe those that say different, but if we are all going to live together happily, then any issues or concerns need to be raised and discussed and thrashed out, not surpressed, do you see what is happening at the moment? Do you like what you see? Our white males are getting fidgety?

Why is that? They feel like they are being dealt with as dissenters, in their own land!! No male, muslim or not, wants to feel like a dissenter!! they will start to get aggressive - talks need to be held - every year we get a step nearer civil war, It sounds very exacgeratted to say this but it is true!! Does Europe want to start expelling people - I hope not!! Real debate needs to be open and honest!!
