The OFFICIAL buddy bench/naughty bench thread No. 4

1000 replies

Teaandcakeplease · 11/01/2011 20:15

Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

Oh no, poor you Sad I wouldn't take it to heart too much. I'd just hide the thread and move on.

Teaandcakeplease · 26/01/2011 22:01

That would be so great if you did. As an original local with loads of friends here, would you have room for one more? Wink

Limara · 26/01/2011 22:06

I've been on here for so long tonight, my DH is going to bed, AIBU to be annoyed? I hate it when i'm left all alone and everyone has gone to be.....Sad

Limara · 26/01/2011 22:06

'be' = bed.

CheerfulYank · 27/01/2011 02:54

Welcome Candleshoe!

I'm jealous that tea and tiredmum might actually get to hang out in RL! :) What's Barabrith cake? It's got cake in the title so I want some! :o

Teaandcakeplease · 27/01/2011 08:06

It's a tea bread made with wholemeal flour, mixed dried fruit, lemon rind, tea, sugar etc. It's lovely sliced and buttered. It's a welsh recipe.

Limara - I always liked to go to bed with my H (when married) he wanted to stay up very late every night, (so almost the opposite of your situation) and not go to bed, so I used to sit around waiting or nag ask him to come to bed. LOL

Limara · 27/01/2011 10:00

I spent so long on mn last night. I just couldn't tear myself away. I'm quite low atm so always cruise mn when I feel like this. DH call himself an 'internet widow'. bit Sad really. I'm alright though.Smile

Hello everyone Smile well i have had to have a pesky blood pressure monitor put on for the last 24 hours & it inflated up on my arm right while i was queuing up in the corridor to pick DD up from school Blush it makes a loud Buzzing sound as it inflates Blush Blush so the other mums either thought i was weird or very kinky Grin . I was very temped to look at the mum behind me with a Hmm expression on my face but decided it wouldn't be very nice Grin

Welcome to the new comers , we are a friendly bunch here .

gomummygo · 27/01/2011 15:56

Grin Good to be back, it is crazy being disconnected!

Welcome to all the newcomers! :)

Many thanks Elmo for keeping the bench all lovely and polished! :) Sorry to hear about your blood pressure though, that can't be good?

Ugh Tea, I agree with Cheerful, that woman was just a miserable b*tch. Don't fully understand the "who shops where" politics over there, but regardless it was very rude and says a lot about her actually.

Yes, Cheerful, I'm also Envy that Tea and Tiredmum could get together irl! I'm fully convinced to move Tiredmum, all I need is a mid-sized lottery win. (Don't want to be greedy and hope for a large one, but a small one just won't do it!) Grin

How are you feeling Tiredmum? Can't believe how fast it is going by, soon your new little one will be here! Do we you know the sex yet?

Tiredmumno1 · 27/01/2011 21:38

Elmo soz to hear about the blood pressure, although the kinky comment did make me Grin

i have the consultant next week gomummy, so i really will try and find out, and i shall let you know if i win the lotto to help you Grin

i just been eating sherbert with a huge strawberry lolly now my tongues sore lol

A very juvenile thread that made me laugh until I cried. Especially later on when the ryhmes begun.

Lottery would be great, thanks for the help getting over there Tiredmum. Grin Earlier today I explained to DH what would be happening if we won a mid-to-large sized lottery. He is supportive, (mostly as we are so Envy of the NHS), with the caveat of a couple of places he wants to visit in Ireland and Scotland. Sounds fair to me. Now just have to line up those winning numbers, pick up Cheerful & fam, and we're off! Grin

Candleshoe · 27/01/2011 23:24

I never fart what a childish thread. Oops sorry ladies.

I've brought some falafel for you I made earlier. It is a bit: 'thought that counts' as we say in our house - inasmuch as its crumbly and dry - sorry. May I sit? Has the kettle boiled?

CheerfulYank · 27/01/2011 23:50

It has indeed candleshoe :) Pour yourself a cuppa.

I can't write much as I have four minutes before the library closes and I have to leave the lovely internet. I've been home all day with poor DS...he was throwing up all morning and it turns out he has a rotten case of strep, the poor darling. :(

I'm off to pick up some ice cream for him, talk to you all soon!

Welcome back gomummy, I missed you!!!!

Oh and tiredmum I would also be willing to move, given a large lottery win :o
