1000 replies

Teaandcakeplease · 11/01/2011 20:15

Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up!

elmofan · 26/03/2011 18:08

Is your wound healing better now ? x

gomummygo · 26/03/2011 18:29

Elmo, our clocks went back three weeks ago, but I could have used the reminder then! Grin Sadly, I am envious of your spring cleaning. I do a kind of Flylady-ish thing so never really have spring cleaning anymore. Used to love it though!

Grin @ "valley girl" Cheerful. Soccer sounds absolutely adorable! Worthy of taking video. What a cute thing to be able to look back on someday!

Hard to imagine a picnic right now Valium, but sounds like fun! We are picnic obsessed in this family!

Pleased for you that he is a contented little chap Tiredmum. Especially with three to manage! How are you recovering?

valiumredhead · 26/03/2011 18:44

Oh yes, my sister said her clocks went back a while ago and I was worried I had forgotten gomummy Grin

I quite like valley girl - I might name change!

We LOVE picnics even in the winter we have been know to pack up the car and head off for one! :)

I can JUST imagine stopping to do karate in the middle of a footie match - how funny! Grin

gomummygo · 26/03/2011 19:08

Wow, that was a wild thread Valium! Shock Am often surprised at how some threads on MN can descend into that kind of thing, yet other threads are so amazing and supportive. Am so glad we have a no-bunfighting bench! :) Can I just say how lovely all of you buddy benchers are?

Teaandcakeplease · 26/03/2011 19:26

See Tiredmum I think I'll get a lie in, I'll go to bed early and enjoy my clock reading 6.30am when DS wakes instead of 5.30am Wink Psychologically it'll feel good to me after weeks of early risings and if he can keep it up it'll all be dandy Wink

I am lurking and reading. Might have a look at Valium's thread too Grin

Smile gomummy We all get on so well here its lovely isn't it .
Sounds like a good plan tea Grin

CheerfulYank · 26/03/2011 21:26

I do love our Bench. So calm. :)

Wow valley, that thread was crazy! I remember once on a thread someone was being really derogatory to me for being "so bloody nice" and I finally said "yes, I am nice, I can teach you how if you like." Hmm Some people!

Glad the little one is doing well tiredmum ! How are the big boys feeling about him?

valiumredhead · 27/03/2011 12:19

I like the clocks going forward - it's when they go back that first day is soooooooooooooooo long!!!!!

Sunny here again, homework done and ds is out on his bike with his mate later.

yanky 'that' thread is STILL going on, she determined to keep coming back for one last pop and to 'defend herself against the bullies. Most bizarre Confused I'll leave her to it now. Can't bear it when people dish it out but can't take it when someone disagrees!

I'm washing uniform AGAIN, it's never ending..................

CheerfulYank · 27/03/2011 15:54

I wish my DS got to wear a uniform. Envy I can barely get us out of the door as it is, I can't imagine when/if I have more children and they're all in school. It would be nice if outfit choices didn't factor in.

CheekyLittleSox · 27/03/2011 15:57

i want some Wine

Tiredmumno1 · 27/03/2011 16:15

Tiredmumno1 · 27/03/2011 16:32

elmofan · 27/03/2011 16:39

elmofan · 27/03/2011 17:50

He is cheeky Tiredmum , He robs anything he can get his chops around & lies down on them to hide them from me grrrrrrrrr Grin

CheerfulYank · 27/03/2011 18:18

Is that you in your FB photo elmo ? I've just liked it. :)

I really need to come see you all. I'm going to need to figure out a plan and then put it into action. :) I have a friend who went to school in London and has been desperate to pop over for a visit...maybe the two of us will figure something out.

While I'm there I'm going to wear a shirt that says "CheerfulYank" all the time to see if anyone recognizes me :O

valiumredhead · 27/03/2011 18:19

Oooooooooo I am so excited! Ds has just given me a newsletter from school and we will have a summer uniform for the boys - shorts and polo shirt and NO ties!!!!!! Grin

Up until the old headmaster retired the children had to wait to be told when to take off their jumpers - even in 30 degree heat!! So this is good news.

Hello cheekysox nice to meet you :)
