The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Yes im good. I pop on MN now and again but just lurk most times lol. Its my 25th Birthday today :) So looking forward to getting more snow in the morning to go and have some birthday snowball fights with :)

All this talk is making me wish I had one of those rings, they sound lovely. Although I'd probably wear it the wrong way round in error, LOL.

My H is a jack of all trades and master of none! Too much job changing in the last few years and no decent qualifications. He's taken on some bar work but it's not exactly well paid. However he is hoping when his license comes through to go into security work

Sounds absolutely delicious Cheerful. Shall I confess that I have broken my own rule and made another cheesecake today? It is worse than the last one. I have added crushed oreos to the graham crumbs, sugar and butter for the crust, I have taken my meat tenderizer to several Skor bars crushed on top and drizzled it with melted toffee (warmed with milk to make it drizzle-able. It's not my fault really, we're stuck inside and Christmas baking is a dangerous season!!!

Read the Ireland budget situation in more detail last night Elmo, hope things are not too brutal for you. Sounds pretty rough, but always difficult from the outside to understand the impact of the high level stuff on individual families.

Hope it works out for H, Tea. Security work is plentiful where I am, don't know what it's like over there but hope he finds something solid soon. Must be hard in this market without qualifications though.

Hi everyone! We've had the flu at our house so I've been off of work the past few days and away from the computer. It was awful but with the grace of God and Clorox wipes I think we're rid of it. :)

Thanks for the christmas card gomummy it arrived today . I have sent mine off this morning so should be on its way .
Its been snowing here non stop the last few days & we have at least 12 inches of snow on the ground now v difficult to drive on the roads .

Shame we can't all be friends on fb now and see each others pics. But most people aren't as obsessed on fb as often as me

I did join fb tea but avoid it since SIL rang to say " ah you've joined now i can keep tabs on you all" she's a loon & wasn't joking - turned me right off fb

You can control who can see your statuses and photos on there, my FIL cannot see any of it despite being my friend Thought he'd realise rather quickly if I deleted him after my marriage fell apart and besides he takes great pics of the DCs when visiting and uploads them on fb. I just don't want him knowing everything happening in my life now.

How does that work then ? being able to stop her knowing all our business without having to block her

Log in and then on the right hand side at the top click "account" then "privacy settings" near the bottom in small blue font it says "Customize settings" change posts by me to custom and select who you want to hide from your posts. On everything it says "Friends only" for me all the way down in there, because I'm anal about privacy. LOL

While you're at it at the top on the privacy settings page go into the connecting to facebook part by clicking on the blue font titled "view settings" and hike up your settings there too. Job done.

Friend requests for me are only "friends of friends" so it can make it hard for people to find me but at the moment it's relaxed slightly as someone was trying to find me and couldn't. Oops.
