Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Lol gomummy, i now have a vision of cat bounding through the house with baubles hanging from its tail Grin

and maybe christopher as a middle name (after his dad, if its a him)

ds1 has his dads middle name as his middle name and ds2 has his dads holy communion name as his middle name, so i thought i better incorporate his name again Smile

i hope that wasnt to confusing

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 22:49

Wow you spoil me gomummy, i think i want you to adopt me Grin

gomummygo · 27/11/2010 22:54

LOL Tiredmum, if that is your vision, you must be looking through my windows! Poor cat no longer likes Christmas, I'm afraid. Can't relax anymore this afternoon it seems unless she's on top of the piano! (Note for future years: VERY difficult to remove decorations from a running cat...particularly one who wasn't wearing them when she fell asleep and is rather disturbed to have woken that way!)

Not confusing at all, and a nice tradition to continue, imo. I am partial to incorporating a family name though. Adam Christopher also goes well together.

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 23:10

Loving the one week rule gomummy, glad you are not abstaining for a whole month, you would have missed on loadsa yummy cheesecake Grin

aww your poor cat, i hope it gets over the trauma of xmas, i wonder if pets are like us and dread this time every year Grin

so glad you like my name ideas, if i hear of any others i like i will let you know.

i really hope it doesnt snow tonight, the icy floor petrifies me incase i slip, so this weather is doin my head in

gomummygo · 27/11/2010 23:11

gomummygo · 27/11/2010 23:15

Well we are covered in it, and it's here til April now. Have plowed TWICE today, grr snow. Be careful Tiredmum, I fell hard on the ice at about the stage you're at, can understand why you're apprehensive about it.

I think the poor cat will never be the same. She has given up hope and has taken up residence on the piano instead of her soft, fluffy, but DS-accessible bed!

Oooh you are so right about the cheesecake timing Tiredmum, I hadn't even considered Christmas! Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 23:23

Heehee you see the temptation of vast amounts of cheesecake is just to difficult to resist.

i hope you know that means you have welomed me into your family, you aint never gettin rid of me now Grin

i bet cat would much prefer to be in that lovely soft sounding bed, sounds cosy.

And i will be as careful as i can if i have to go out, i promise.

hopefully tomorrow will be relaxing anyway, dh will be cooking a roast, with apple crumble and custard for afters, i am looking forward to that

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 23:25

welcomed

Blush
gomummygo · 27/11/2010 23:29

LOL Tiredmum, happy to have you, I live to feed! Grin Oooh, but Alicia or Adam will have to call me Auntie, as I am just far too young to be adopted-grandma!

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 23:46

but grandmagomummy sounds fab Grin

but we can settle for auntiegomummy

your food always sounds delicious and if you adopt dh aswell he is fab with the cleaning, washing, tidying and cooking, he is fab Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 27/11/2010 23:49

Whoops i said fab twice, now he has a big head thinking he is great, damn i didnt want him to know i thought that Grin

Hi ,

Ooh gomummy are you sending your snow over to me by any chance ?, i woke up to about 3 inches of snow this morning Grin Brrrrr
tiredmum Love the two names you have possibly picked Smile . My family's names all begin with the letter A Blush .
tea great to hear baby Noah is gaining weight x.

Grin
elmoschristmaswish · 28/11/2010 10:47

Blush sorry claddagh is me BTW , Was trying to come up with a more Irish themed nickname lol as i discovered there's another Elmo on here Confused .

gomummygo · 28/11/2010 13:46

Good to "see" you, how are you?

Tiredmum your DH would have to compete with me for the cleaning as [sad individual emoticon] I quite enjoy it!

Elmo I doubt that the snowblower can shoot that far, but will give it a try this morning if you'd like some more? Grin Have not yet seen the other Elmo... you could be WhenElmosEyesAreSmiling or something to that effect?

Morning Tea and Cheerful! :)

elmoschristmaswish · 28/11/2010 14:05

Smile Gomummy i like that , i might change after christmas to that thanks . The other Elmo is called " elmosworld" just in case any of you think its me .

Tiredmumno1 · 28/11/2010 18:39

Lol gomummy, i sure dh wouldn't complain if someone else was offering to do the cleaning.

elmo i haven't seen the other elmo either, are they new?

Tiredmumno1 · 28/11/2010 18:41

i am sure - apologies

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 28/11/2010 18:43

Well Elmo, you all persuaded me to keep my name when I came across someone sounding similar. So I say do not worry too much, what does claddagh mean?

gomummygo · 28/11/2010 19:14

Yes Elmo I was uncertain too, the claddagh is the friendship/loyalty/love symbol with the hands, is that correct? Do you have a ring? Not to be too nosy, just think they are very beautiful.

I was a serial namechanger for a long time, often because of similar names (and fear of association as some were not speaking very nicely), but have now been variations of gomummygo for so long I'll probably keep it. With holiday variations of course. Grin Unless Tiredmum gives hers up that is. GoTiredMummyGo? Wink

Tea do you like Christmas cake?

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 28/11/2010 19:19

Yes, haven't had the time or funds to make one this year and definitely not now, as H has lost his job and my car died today and I had to buy a new battery

CheerfulYank · 28/11/2010 20:01

Just popping in to vote "yes" for Adam. I know a lovely one :)

Oooh, I love claddaghs!
Must fly, at ILs for a belated Thanksgiving. To which I brought cheesecake :o

elmoschristmaswish · 28/11/2010 20:40

Yes Gomummy the Claddagh ring is an icon of Ireland Smile I have one from my childhood that my parents bought me when i was 6yrs old , i will pass it on to dd when she's a bit older Smile . Its a beautiful one with gold hands holding a heart shaped black stone .
Tea - Claddagh is also a town in Galway . Sorry to hear your having car troubles & Sad H has lost his job

gomummygo · 28/11/2010 22:21

Elmo that's lovely. They are beautiful. XH's family (also Irish) gave me one (at least I'm fairly sure that's what it was, but it also had a crown?), but I returned it when we split as it was a family heirloom. They actually wanted me to keep it but I just couldn't. Your DD is a lucky girl.

Ugh Tea, sorry about the car troubles. Tough time of year for that to happen too, not that there is a good time. :( Sorry to hear about STBXH's job as well. More . Hopefully he works in an industry where he will be able to find something else soon.

Well done on the cheesecake, Cheerful. There could be no better thing to bring to a meal, imo!
