Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Oooh ooh, add me! Grin I can't really be found easily but you have my e/m. I have nothing on my fb yet, (Mine's not that secured, it's just empty, lol!) just created the account to friend you lovely benchers! Must get on there someday and put my info and stuff in. Would be lovely for us to be able to all share photos and stuff.

Cheerful glad to hear you are feeling better, the flu is so brutal isn't it? We are still recovering here, I can't believe how long it hangs on.

Can't believe how fast the post is getting my cards out. Shock There's something I never thought I'd say!

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 02/12/2010 20:03

I don't mean to bring the bench down but I'm shivering and feeling sick after reading this news story on the bbc website Sad Sad Sad

gomummygo · 02/12/2010 20:13

Oh Tea I am actually crying, that is horrific. :(

When I am done crying for that poor innocent little boy I will be livid at that vile excuse for a human being. Angry

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 02/12/2010 20:18

I'm trying to console myself as even fellow prisoners have a strange sense of justice and can assault child abusers in jail as even they're disgusted by them I understand but really I wish we had capital punishment for him.

spikeycow · 02/12/2010 20:20

He was a sadistic psychopath, pure and simple. People like that are extremely dangerous, I work with them and they appear normal, like any jack the lad. I believe that poor mum had no clue, they are perfectly capable of slipping under the radar.
He'll be crying soon, no doubt about that

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 02/12/2010 20:24

For some reason I felt compelled to put the link in the news section for people to see.

Oh Spikey he most certainly is isn't he? Sick sick man.

gomummygo · 02/12/2010 20:28

You're exactly right about psychopaths Spikey, and I can only hope that you're right that he'll be crying soon.

Tea I too wish that you (and we) had capital punishment in cases like this. What a putrid waste of the world's oxygen.

Hope that his incarceration results in him also seeing capital punishment as preferable.

elmoschristmaswish · 02/12/2010 20:52

Sad Sad that poor poor baby .

Prison is too good for the likes of him Angry

CheekyLittleSox · 03/12/2010 00:22

Thank you for your birthday wishes from Monday :) Had a good birthday - made a snowman with BOOBS which is now just a fluffy mess in the garden due to the much not needed snowfall but i love it. Grin

CheekyLittleSox · 03/12/2010 00:23

Minjury!!!

Cheesy!! that made me piss myself!!

CheerfulYank · 03/12/2010 02:24

I can't even read it, I don't think. Will spend all day crying if it's anything like I think it is. :(

CheerfulYank · 03/12/2010 02:25

Ok, read the headline, that's enough for me. Oh dear God, that poor little one.

CheekyLittleStocking · 04/12/2010 02:05

i know Cheerful yank its awful :(

TiggyD · 04/12/2010 14:13

I just posted something quite spicy on a childcare site after a manager said she doesn't make her staff let the children go outside if they want to go, and that she personally will not be going outside either. I'm shy and think I might just quit that site so I don't have to read any responses.

Highlights of my post include:
"I can't believe what *&%@~£ has written."

"A nursery should be run to satisfy the needs of the children and not to give the staff somewhere to go in the winter."

"The fact that you personally will not be going outside means you're a bad role model to your staff. I'm amazed that you thought it was a good idea to say so."

gomummygo · 04/12/2010 18:15

Welcome Tiggy. Tis a safe haven here. :)

CheerfulYank · 04/12/2010 19:01

Hi tiggy, hide away! :) I'll have to look that one up.

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 04/12/2010 19:34

Hello ladies. Tricky afternoon here with DCs. Gah this cold, dark, misty and damp weather. Really limits what I can do with the DCs that doesn't involve money i.e. soft play. DS kept pulling baubles off the tree and DD kept trying to steal the candy sticks I'd put high up out of reach (she's only allowed one a day max). Too much mischief from them and I got mega grumpy by the end of the day and super cross with DD when she did something unexpected she knew she shouldn't have done and I over reacted Blush [guilty mummy emoticon]

Going to watch some tv and try to forget about how rubbish I feel. Looking forward to the DCs getting bigger and playing nicer together. DS still hasn't mastered playdough without constantly trying to eat it, drawing he eats the pens/ pencils still etc. So seriously limits craft. DD is good at all that stuff though.

If the gazebo has been taken down for the Winter where are escounced now? Xmas Grin

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 04/12/2010 19:35

Missing word - "we"

CheerfulYank · 04/12/2010 19:43

I invite everyone to a cozy cabin with a roaring fire and lots of warm wool blankies. And a kitchen full of cookies and cocoa and booze to spike it with

Don't feel bad, tea! We all have those days. I have been so shouty recently and I hate it, I never wanted to be that way at all! I've been working very hard on taking deep breaths, walking away, etc. It's so hard isn't it?

CheerfulYank · 04/12/2010 19:56

Arrgh! Am trying to choose a necklace online for SIL. I got her name in the Christmas draw. She's the hardest to buy for because we have totally opposite styles in almost everything. I'll post some choices soon and you can help me pick, Benchers. :)

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 04/12/2010 20:02

Oh I'm rubbish at stuff like that, hopefully Elmo or GoMummy will be along to help you. I'm hopeless with any sort of classy style etc. No idea about fashions etc. I live in sweaters and jeans Blush

CheerfulYank · 04/12/2010 20:07

She's not into "classy" stuff either, per se. I was hoping to get her something with DC's initials, like maybe

this

CheerfulYank · 04/12/2010 20:08

Oh and I don't wear anything but sweaters and jeans either! :)

Teaandchristmascakeplease · 04/12/2010 20:13

Oh that's nice, would she wear it? I've worn the same necklace everyday for 5 years and wear the same earrings for months at a time.

See... told ya I'm rubbish Xmas Grin
