Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

gomummygo · 16/11/2010 21:16

Awww poor DS Tea. :(

this looks like it?

I totally understand, have just recently bought a replacement bedtime froggy through ebay! We had three disastrous nights before I caved (v. expensive frog!)....poor DS has had it since he was born. All is well with the world once again, thankfully.

Teaandcakeplease · 16/11/2010 21:55

No that ones bigger but I have one in the mail now thanks to some fab help.

CheerfulYank · 17/11/2010 01:12

Aw, glad that you have one on the way! That would be so hard!

CheerfulYank · 19/11/2010 17:56

Stops by to count tumbleweeds :)

We had a midnight show of the new Harry Potter movie at the theater last night. I didn't get to sleep until after 4 in the morning so I'm just in a haze today. :) I didn't have to work this a.m., luckily. They've got conferences at school so I don't have to go in-hooray! DS and I made french toast this morning and lazed around in pajamas for much longer than normal. Bliss! :)

gomummygo · 19/11/2010 18:18

The flu has taken over our home. :(

Hope you all are well.

Cheerful your morning with DS sounds heavenly. :)

elmofan · 19/11/2010 18:26

How is everyone doing ?
The flu is nasty gomummy Sad

CheerfulYank · 20/11/2010 01:33

Oh yuck, I hate the flu.

Hope you all feel better soon!

Teaandcakeplease · 20/11/2010 19:35

Hello ladies, sorry I haven't been about much.

I?ve had a cold for a few days and have been going to bed mega early and waking in the morning feeling like I haven?t slept, despite the vast quantity of vitamins I am consuming, so I?m not spending much time doing anything right now, everything is an effort, even making a concerted effort to comment and catch up on my usual threads, probably as I'm part of about 4 threads and I'm way behind on most of them. I?m just so so tired right now. H came over this afternoon and we took the DCs to a soft play together. Haven?t bought anything for Christmas yet but know that I ought to. I still haven?t gotten around to paying for the Xmas Mumsnet meet up and I?m now thinking perhaps I?ve left it too late but I?m not sure but I?m too tired to check. Way behind on chores house wise, even washing up is an effort right now

Consent order arrived for me to check on Friday, need to sign it and then it?ll be submitted to court to apply for the decree absolute. So glad I did everything via solicitor and it?s all been sorted so quickly. April to November, not bad really.

So in summary life continues here despite me feeling pathetic and tired for several days, tired but generally content. Looking forward to the celebration dinner for my divorce recovery course on Monday night. Really hope if I get an early night tonight, I?ll feel a little better. I have another TMA due and am way way behind.

If this post makes sense I'll be impressed as I'm feeling so drained and exhausted.

Oh tea look after yourself . Its great that you & STBEH can spend quality time together with the dc's Smile .
There's still loads of time for christmas shopping so dont panic .

CheerfulYank · 21/11/2010 01:52

Yes, look after yourself! Wish I had a private plane so I could hop over and help you out!

Teaandcakeplease · 21/11/2010 17:04

I'm trying! Just need a money tree to help me pay for Christmas Wink And self control and will power as I keep buying stuff at the moment, when I should be saving the money towards Christmas Blush

Thanks all for the comfort food and drink and well wishes. :) We are still a very sickly house, but think the worst has passed. At least I hope it has.

Could someone please remind me why I waited in line for hours with a toddler for the flu shot? Angry

Hope you are feeling better Tea. I am really pleased for you that everything is ticking along in a timely manner with your divorce (and Envy, that is much more efficient than here!). I hope you have a lovely dinner tonight. I also hope you have that wonderful feeling that comes for many when you get your decree absolute. It is bittersweet of course, but still can be amazingly freeing, if that makes sense. Don't really know how to articulate it, but it is positive.

Well I am off to make yet another pot of soup...

NAME LIST! NAME LIST! NAME LIST! :o

Hi everybody! We are sickly too, at least DS is. Pinkeye and an ear infection, yuck! Poor little man. We stayed home today and made turkey placemats for Thursday and watched way too many dvds. :) I'm nervous-it's the first time I'll have done Thanksgiving at my house and I'm worried something won't come out right. I am making: turkey (it has this lovely herb-cheese mixture you put under the skin), green beans, parmesan potatoes, stuffing, cranberry-orange bundt cake...and other stuff that I don't remember right now! :) DS' placemats will be the hit of the party I'm sure. :)

Anyway, off to finish my scrubbing marathon-people start arriving tomorrow!
