Come hither all those who haven't found their place on mumsnet, have scrapped in Aibu or crossed words in chat. The buddy bench shalt not judge.

The buddy bench will hand out wine and cakes, it will join you on your scoffathons getting pissed

All those who enter the Gazebo and sit on the bench, will have their sins erased and be given a warm welcome and cheerful chat from CheerfulYank, gomummy, tired mum, Elmo, AF, HE, Cheesey and far, far too many more to mention.

Welcome to the buddy bench, we look forward to meeting you all Smile

Oh and don't forget, last one to leave polishes bench and locks up !

Ooh, tea and choc! Welcome Rhinestone, we're friendly to all. C'mon in!

Glad you're back HE!

I think what you ought to do, tiredmum, is start a big nasty mumsnet thread about not being able to know the sex. The scan staff will get lots of negative publicity and call you begging to let them tell you if it's a boy or girl. :o

elmofang · 28/10/2010 16:12

I'd love a cuppa thanks Smile

I'm making a casserole for dinner today , whats are you all having tonight ?

Rhinestone · 28/10/2010 16:37

Chilli. Yum!

gomummygo · 28/10/2010 16:39

Tea would be lovely, thanks Rhinestone. :)

Prepping for a huge stromboli here for this evening Elmo. Messy, but DS loves putting them together!

elmofang · 28/10/2010 16:51

Stromboli Confused ? Whats that ?

gomummygo · 28/10/2010 17:17

Stromboli recipe

It's sort of like pizza with the toppings baked into bread that you then slice when done, if that makes sense? V. child-friendly, can hide a lot of healthy things in there! :)

elmofang · 28/10/2010 17:19

Ooh ive just googled Stromboli & it looks delicious gomummy Smile I've saved the recipe on my PC . Yummy .
How is ds's cold ?

elmofang · 28/10/2010 17:27

I have also just saved the "new york cheesecake " recipe from that site gomummy , it looks fab Smile .

gomummygo · 28/10/2010 17:27

Much better thanks Elmo. The wheezy-chest-thing is gone, cough mostly gone, now we're just plowing through the tissues, lol! It is ridiculous how pleased I am that he can now blow his nose properly! Grin

Tiredmumno1 · 28/10/2010 17:29

Lol cheerful, wouldnt that idea be great if it worked haha, knowing me i would get banned from the hospital Grin

not sure what to do for dinner yet, i better make my mind up though before it gets to late

gomummygo · 28/10/2010 17:30

Oh dear Elmo, New York style cheesecake is my weakness....I have told my DH in the past that it is afraid of the dark, therefore I must always finish any NY cheesecake late at night before bed, as I cannot leave the poor thing to be scared all night. I'm just trying to be kind, really! Grin

elmofang · 28/10/2010 17:46

I agree , it would be cruel of you to leave it alone & scared Grin

< makes mental note to use gomummys excuse for future cheesecake mumchies >

elmofang · 28/10/2010 17:47

Munchies i mean lol

elmofang · 28/10/2010 17:49

Any cravings yet tiredmum ?

CheerfulYank · 29/10/2010 16:00

'Tis a kindness really, gomummy. I mean, to leave a poor defenseless cheesecake alone and afraid in the cold dark of the refrigerator... :o Love cheesecake myself, of course. I also make a dessert that's a half-cake half-cheesecake hybrid. If I ever need to gain a zillion pounds for some reason I will just make that every day! :) Stromboli is good too.

Thought it was worth a shot tiredmum :)

Tiredmumno1 · 29/10/2010 17:33

Thanks for the ideas cheerful, always appreciated Wink

elmo i did have a thing for salt and vinegar crisps for a while, am into cornish pasties at the mo Grin

its the weekend woo hoo, dunno why i am excited about it but woo hoo anyway, cant wait to snuggle up in bed later Smile

CheerfulYank · 29/10/2010 18:09

I love salt and vinegar crisps! (Well, chips we call 'em :)) I have a friend that is obsessed with them and every so often we get together and eat them til our tongues hurt. :o

elmofang · 29/10/2010 18:19

Ooh salt & vinegar are my favorite & they taste great with white wine Wink

gomummygo · 29/10/2010 20:47

Oh yes, another one for the burning-salt-and-vinegar tongue! Grin

What are you all up to this weekend?

CheerfulYank · 30/10/2010 01:35

They have a Lady's Night Out in my hometown and I'm working at my friend's bookstore. :)

Tomorrow there is trick-or-treating at downtown businesses and then the fall fun festival. Then I am hoping to pawn DS off on my MIL so DH and I can go see The Town at the movie theater. And those are my weekend plans. :)

elmofang · 30/10/2010 13:49

Sounds good cheerful Smile

Well i am having a few friends & family over tomorrow for tea , so am busy cleaning today . Dh is in charge of entertaining all the children with party games so i can sit & drink wine chat with everyone after I've fed them lol Grin

elmofang · 30/10/2010 14:34
