The stupid idiots wouldnt tell us, we were both up for knowing, so we asked, only to be told we dont do that here. really, well my consultant told me with ds1 and they even asked me if i wanted to know with ds2, all at the same hospital.

so i am pretty damn annoyed with them, i will mention it to my consultant, who i will see in about 4 weeks, just to say i am not impressed

everything is fine btw,
just about not being told the sex.

Well firstly, very happy for you Tiredmum that everything is fine. :)

But GRR at your ultrasound tech not telling you! Clearly they do not appreciate our your need for this information. For example, how are we to know if we are to refer to TiredmumsDS3 or TiredmumsDD1, let alone make our helpful name suggestions? Grr. Could you see anything on the screen?

Aww tiredmum dont fret , i bet the consultant will be able to tell you the next time you see him . I had an early scan on dd at 12-14 weeks after a dreadful pregnancy / birth on ds , we had decided not to find out the sex but when we were sitting in front of the consultant she asked me was my first baby a boy or girl & when i said a boy she picked up my scan picture that was inside my chart & gave us a huge smile but said nothing but her smile said it all tbh . OK i need to catch up on this thread to see what have i missed x

the consultant wont be able to tell me, cos he probably wont do a scan, i think that appt is to discuss a normal birth or a c-section again, oh well just my luck, i will ask him why the policy seems to have changed, i think it should be our decision

Yeah, that's odd that he wouldn't tell you! Here they practically tell you without asking.

Tiredmum maybe the sonographer's report to your consultant will have it in though?

Here they ask, but even if they hadn't, DS was v. obvious on the screen. Tech actually said something like "would you like to know, well, erm, if you can't tell already?"

Sort of. We have a bit of the trim left to do and since there was snow this morning I don't know if we'll get to it! It's supposed to warm up a bit this weekend so we'll see. :)
